Plant cell

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 11 months ago

Undifferentiated plant cells are the most suitable host cells for the gene guns to introduce an alien DNA. It is because plant cells have rigid cell wall which can be easily broken down by bombarding them with high velocity micro-particles of gold or tungsten coated with DNA in a gene gun.

Predator are prudent in nature......................it is the nature's way of transferring energy to higher tropic levels.......................... they keep Prey population under control.............. in the absence of predators prey species could achieve very high population density ............................. and cause instability besides acting as conduits for energy transfer across tropic level.................. Predator play very important to provide population stability....................???????

Arsh Sidhu 5 years, 11 months ago

Yah they are prudent

Muskaan Vig 5 years, 11 months ago

Prudent means cautious about future.... Predators are prudent means they always eat their prey in such a manner that the prey does not become extinct.... Because if they become extinct then predators will also become extinct...due to lack or absence of food(prey)

In meselson's and stahl's experiment what happened was they took dna from a cell and then they placed it into HEAVY nitrogen (atomic mass 14). When the nitrogen(heavy) was incoorporated into the dna (nitrogen is taken bcoz it is a component of dna) it was kept in light nitrogen (atomic mass 12). Then through centifugation the fragments were separated and furthur a hybrid was formed which was between a heavy strand (containing heavy N) and light strand (containing light N). After every 20 min it divided and that heavy band was incorpoorated into the dna this was the proof that proved the semiconservative nature of the DNA.!

Sanchari Roy 5 years, 11 months ago

Pea plant was chosen by Mendel because----- 1. It has short life cycle so several generations can be studied in a short period. 2. Flowers are self pollinating thereby forming pure lines for several generations. 3. Cross pollination is also easy as pollens from one plant ca be introduced to stigma of another plant by removing anthers. 4. Produces large no. of seeds in 1 generatn. 5. Easily detectable no. of contrasting traits available. 6. Easy to raise, maintain, handle. 7. Possesses perfect bisexual flowers.

Whenever single celled organism get mature they undergo mitosis and divide into two daughter cells and again get mature.. that's why It is said that there is no natural death in single celled organisms..
