If all the progeny obtained are violet then the genotype is homogenous dominant but if half progeny are white and half are violet then the genotype is heterogenous

So, after 80 minutes there will be 4 generations. In the first generation all the strands will be hybrid (as the heavy isotope will be incorporated in the newly synthesised strand of DNA) i.e the two DNA will be of intermediate nature. In the second generation, 50% the DNA will be light and 50% will be hybrid.

Nidhi Bharti 4 years, 4 months ago

In 80 min, DNA will replicate 4 times. so, 16 dna copies will be formed out of which, 2 are hybrid i.e. 12.5% is Hybrid DNA and 14 dna copies are light dna so 87.5% is light DNA

An anticodon is a unit of three nucleotides corresponding to the three bases of an mRNA codon. Each tRNA has a distinct anticodon triplet sequence that can form 3 complementary base pairs to one or more codons for an amino acid. Some anticodons pair with more than one codon due to wobble base pairing.

The two primary hormones that are needed for lactation are prolactin and oxytocin. Prolactin stimulates milk biosynthesis within the alveolar cells of the breast and oxytocin stimulates contraction of the myoepithelial cells that surround the alveoli, causing the milk to be ejected

Internodes are the distances between the two nodes and do not have meristematic cells so cannot give rise to a new plant. Internodes cannot give rise to adventitious buds. Thus, internodal segments of sugar cane fail to propagate vegetatively even when they are in contact with damp soil

Chargaff rule states that in a double helix DNA structure based on complementary base pairing, the ratio of bases are such that: the ratio of Adenine to Thymine and Guanine to Cytosine is constant and equals to one. It can be applied by putting the ratios as stated above and place them equals to one, and from there the quantity of one base can be found out if the quantity of other base of the ratio is known.

Bishal Jyoti Baishya 4 years, 5 months ago

Chargaff rule and application - Complementary base pairing between (adenine and thymine via double bonds ) and ( guanine and cytosine via triple bonds ) with the help of hydrogen bonding Between the bases.
