In a life cycle, a woman’s body is vulnerable to a variety of changes. The cycle of these changes in women every month, positively for pregnancy is called menstrual cycle. When an ovum is unfertilized, the uterus lining sheds and leads to hemorrhage, called menstruation. In a girl, menstruation starts from the age of 10 to 15 when she attains puberty and this beginning is known as menarche. The ending of menstruation is known as menopause which takes place at the age range of 50.

Saheli is a contraceptive pills, developed by Indian scientists.It prevents unwanted pregnancy.
Dosage: Once in 21 days
Action: The pill has a very high level of Follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) and Luetinising hormone(LH). Which prevents the ovulation and hence thereby preventing fertilisation which causes pregnancy.
Side effects: may cause hormonal imbalance,or irritation.

They (worked on the bio-chemical nature of transforming prin ciple in Griffith's experiment) purified proteins DNA and RNA from heat killed S cells , they discovered protein digesting enzyme(protease)RNA digesting enzyme (RNase) did not affect tra nsformation , Digestion with DNase inhibited transformation , concluded DNA is the here dity material

- Terrestrial ecosystem. Example- forest, desert.
