Down’s syndrome is an aneuploid, trisomic disease caused by the presence of extra chromosome No. 21. The egg has 24 chromosomes instead of 23 and the offspring has 47 chromosomes (45 + XY/45 + XX) instead of 46 chromosomes. The presence of three chromosomes of the same kind is called trisomy.
Symptoms
- Characterised by rounded face, broad forehead, a Mongolian type of eyelid fold, flattened nasal bridge, permanently open mouth, projecting lower lip, protruding tongue, short neck, flat hands and stubby fingers.
- The victim has little intelligence due to malformation of the brain.
- Heart and other organs may also have deformities.
- Gonads and genitalia are under developed.

Human cells normally contain 23 pairs of chromosomes. One chromosome in each pair comes from your father, the other from your mother.
Down syndrome results when abnormal cell division involving chromosome 21 occurs. These cell division abnormalities result in an extra partial or full chromosome 21. This extra genetic material is responsible for the characteristic features and developmental problems of Down syndrome.

Natural methods of contraception are considered "natural" because they are not mechanical and not a result of hormone manipulation. Instead, these methods to prevent pregnancy require that a man and woman not have sexual intercourse during the time when an egg is available to be fertilized by a sperm.
Condoms are also a popular natural birth control option because they protect from sexually transmitted infections.
- The Copper IUD.
- Sterilization and vasectomy.

Recessive alleles are denoted by a lowercase letter (a versus A). Only individuals with an aa genotype will express a recessive trait; therefore, offspring must receive one recessive allele from each parent to exhibit a recessive trait. Different versions of a gene are called alleles. Alleles are described as either dominant or recessive depending on their associated traits. An example of this is the blood group AB which is the result of codominance of the A and B dominant alleles.

Gene is a stretch of a DNA that determines a particular trait. Genes can mutate and take two or more alternative forms, now these are called alleles of a particular gene.
Now allele occurs in a fixed spot in a chromosome and in humans we have two sets of chromosomes.
Every occupation is made up of factors required for the successful performance of that occupation. These factors can be objectively identified and represented as an occupational profile.

Predation refers to a flow of energy between two organisms, predator and prey. ... Predation includes carnivory, as well as interactions like grazing, parasitism, and symbiotic mutualism. The process of eating seeds and eggs is also considered a form of predation. The best-known examples of predation involve carnivorous interactions, in which one animal consumes another. Think of wolves hunting moose, owls hunting mice, or shrews hunting worms and insects. Less obvious carnivorous interactions involve many small individuals consuming a larger one.

Post-fertilization is a series of events that takes place after fertilization to develop a seed from an ovule and a fruit from an ovary. The following events occur in the post-fertilization. Fertilization occurs when one of the sperm cells fuses with the egg inside of an ovule. After fertilization occurs, each ovule develops into a seed. Each seed contains a tiny, undeveloped plant called an embryo. The ovary surrounding the ovules develops into a fruit that contains one or more seeds.

Cleavage is a series of rapid cell divisions without cell growth or gene expression which occurs in early embryogenesis. During cleavage, the cytoplasm is divided into smaller and smaller cells, called blastomeres. Four major holoblastic cleavage types can be observed in general: radial, spiral, bilateral, and rotational. Egg cells that have larger quantities of yolk undergo meroblastic cleavage after fertilization, in which only a portion of the zygote undergoes cleavage.
Characteristics of the cleavage stage.
- It is a period of unparalleled rapid cell division.
- There is no growth between divisions and the nuclear to cytoplasmic ratio decreases about 1000 fold.
- There are unusual cell cycles lacking, or having very short, G1 and G2 phases.
- Cytokinesis can be unequal.

The Shine-Dalgarno (SD) Sequence is a ribosomal binding site in bacterial and archaeal messenger RNA, generally located around 8 bases upstream of the start codon AUG. The RNA sequence helps recruit the ribosome to the messenger RNA (mRNA) to initiate protein synthesis by aligning the ribosome with the start codon.

Geitonogamy is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther to the stigma of another flower of the same plant. Production of unisexual flowers i.e the male and female parts are present on different plants (dioecious) or on different flowers in the same plant (monoecious). In gietonogamy, the pollen grain from the anther of a flower falls on the stigma of another flower of the same plant.
