The bulk modulus of a substance is a measure of how incompressible/resistant to compressibility that substance is. It is defined as the ratio of the infinitesimal pressure increase to the resulting relative decrease of the volume.

The sattelites which revolve around the earth along the equator are called geostationary sattelites. Their time period is same as that of the planet around which it revolves. The necessary condition for a sattelite to be geostationary is that -- the necessary centrifugal force must be provided by the gravitational force of the planet such that these two forces cancel out each other and the sattelite is suspended in the space.
