Mass is the amount of matter present in it and it is independent from gravity .That's why mass doesn't change with change in place.

Ys=WL/A ls(1) Yr=Wl/A lr(2) On dividing (1)by(2) Ys/Yr=lr/ls {Ys=young's modulus of steel & Yr=young's modulus of rubber} {lr=length of rubber & ls=length of steel} Since lr>ls So Ys>Yr Hence, steel is more elastic than rubber.
