Basically gases have two specific heats..... One is Cp i.e. specific heat at constant pressure , where the system is applied heat by keeping its pressure constant. And another is Cv, i.e.specific heat at constant volume, where again the system is supplied heat by keeping the volume constant.

It is defined as a tensile force acting on the surface of a liquid in contact with air (gas) or between two immiscible liquid........ Or it is the property of liquid due to which its surface behaves like a stretched membrane ..... Mathematically speaking it is the force per unit length acting over an imaginary line drawn over the surface film(F/l)

Isothermal process is that process in which temperature is constant although the change in heat energy is taking place. Since temperature is constant so change in temperature is 0 So all the energy absorb is used in doing work so system expands. Where as in adiabatic process the exchange of energy between system and surrounding doesn't take place so dQ =0 So system uses its own internal energy to do work And we know dQ= dU +W dQ=0 So dU= -W If system expands i.e.work is positive so internal energy is decreases If system contracts so work done is negative and internal energy increases
