According to newton velocity of sound is isothermal that is √bulk modulus isothermal÷√Density When it's value as calculated it was some how different from its practical value so laplace corrected it by saying velocity of sound is adiabatic That is√gamma×,bulk modulus adiabatic÷√Density That is √gamma×RT÷√density Where gamma is Cp/Cv
