We know that atom is electrically neutral and at that time only protons were discovered so they stated that there is negatively charged body which make atom electrically neutral and later was termed as electron

Himani Rajput 3 years, 9 months ago

Electric charge is a physical property of matter. It is created by an imbalance in a substance's number of protons and electrons. The matter is positively charged if it contains more protons than electrons, and it is negatively charged if it contains more electrons than protons.

Conservative force -Those forces whose work done is not dependent on the nature of path taken it only depends on initial and final positions .eg- Gravitational force, elastic force, magnetic force. Non conservative force-Those forces whose work done is dependent on initial and final positions as well as on the nature of path taken. Eg- frictional force ,viscous force

Snehel Kar 3 years, 9 months ago

• Conservative force - Gravitational force • Non-Conservative force - Friction force

Tushar Sehgal 3 years, 9 months ago

?Conservative force :- A force is aid to be conservative if workdone by or against the force in moving a body depends only on initial and final point and not on the nature of path . Eg, gravitational force ?Non conservative force :- A force is said to be non conservative if workdone by or against the force in moving a body depends on path between initial and final point . Eg, friction force etc.

Prashant Pandey 3 years, 9 months ago

Conservative force - The force through which the work done between the two points is path independent is called conservative force. Non-Conservative Force - The force through which the work done between the two bodies is path dependant is called non conservative force.

Given: Number of moles of gas = 1 Temperature = 500K To find: The amount of work done and heat absorbed in the process. Solution: Work done in an isothermal process is: W = nRT ln(V2/ V1) W = 1 X 8.3 X 500 ln(3V/ V) W = 4150 ln3 W = 4150 X 1.1 W = 4565 J Heat absorbed in the process = -4565 J because the work done by the gas will go into the heat absorbed by the surrounding. The work done by the gas in the process is 4565 J and the heat absorbed by the surrounding is -4565 J.
