Well the case is simple molar specific heat is amount of heat required to raise the temp of a substance 1mole to 1 celcius so at constant volume particles have no more space to move around so their kinetic energy increases hence increase in temp would be like temp of kinetic energy of particles due to not expanding + heat given. but in case of constant pressure volume will increase causing cooling effect which also needs to be neutralized by heat so total temp would be like heat given to neutralize cooling effect of expanding + heat to rise temp to 1 celcius hence this molar specific heat is greater clearly

Orbital Velocity of a satellite is the minimum velocity it has to maintain to continue its circular motion in its orbit. We know for a circular motion to continue, a force called centripetal force is required to work upon the object in circular motion. And this force is a real and acts towards the centre of the circle. As this is a real force it’s to be supplied by a real mechanism or system. A satellite moves in a circular track and the centripetal force acting on it is supplied by the gravitational force acting between the earth and the satellite.

Static equilibrium: This is the type of equilibrium in which the resultant of all the forces acting on the body is zero, i.e. the net acceleration of the body is zero, and the velocity of body is also zero. It means that the body is at rest. So if a body is at rest and the net acceleration of it is zero, it means the body is in static equilibrium.

A degree of freedom of a physical system is an independent parameter that is necessary to characterize the state of a physical system. In general, a degree of freedom may be any useful property that is not dependent on other variables.

Yogita Ingle 7 years, 2 months ago

The number of degrees of freedom of a dynamical system is defined as the total number of co-ordinates or independent variables required to describe the position and configuration of the system.
Degrees of Freedom can be defined as independent displacements or rotations that specify the orientation of a body or system.

Ankit Aryan Shivan 7 years, 2 months ago

The degree of freedom refer to the maximum possible independent motion of the gas molecules. [Independent motion refer to translational, rotational,as well as vibrational motion.

The following assumptions are made in developing Kinetic theory of gases. We will show that the Kinetic theory of gases developed with these assumptions explain the macroscopic properties of the materials. All gases consist of some basic units called molecules. The molecules are made up of single or group of atoms depending on the chemical nature of the gas. The molecules move in random direction with random speed. The molecules undergo collisions among themselves and to the walls of the container. These collisions are perfectly elastic. The collision time is very small compared to the average time spent by a molecule between two collisions. The size of the molecule is very small compared to the average intermolecular distance. Molecules do not exert any force among themselves or to the walls except during collision. The molecules obey Newton's Law of Motion. The number of gas molecules is so large that at every position of infinitesimal volume of the container, the density and distribution of different physical parameters are same. The above parameters are also independent of direction and time at a steady state.

First we have given that,,, speed of Sound =332m/s,,,, Time = 1.45 sec......... , depth let it denoted by d=??,,,,,,, speed of Sound wave = 2×distance /time,........ . . 332 = 2×d/1.45............., 2d=332×1.45,,.. when you solve this you will get 240.7 m and it will be ur ans.. hence,,, the depth of well is 240.7m.

Radius of gyration of a body about a given axis is the perpendicular distance of a point from the axis, where whole mass of the body were concentrated, the body shall have the same moment of inertia as it has with the actual distribution of mass.
The units for radius of gyration are length (that is millimeters or inches or feet). It is the square root of the moment of inertia I divided by the area A, (I/A)0.5. I is length4, A is length2, (I/A)0.5 being simply length.
