  • Each organised skeletal muscle in our body is made of a number of muscle bundles or fascicles held together by a common collagenous connective tissue layer called fascia.
  • Each muscle bundle contains a number of muscle fibres and each muscle fibre is lined by the plasma membrane called sarcolemma enclosing the sarcoplasm.
  • Muscle fibre is a syncitium as the sarcoplasm contains many nuclei.

Slow-twitch fibers are also sometimes called type I or red fibers because of their blood supply. Fast-twitch muscle fibers provide bigger and more powerful forces, but for shorter durations and fatigue quickly

Plzz explain it in simple words...

Yogita Ingle 4 years, 10 months ago

Your body has two types of skeletal muscle fibers: slow-twitch (type I) and fast-twitch (type II).

Slow-twitch muscles give you the stamina to nail endurance tasks like distance running. People use fast-twitch muscles in explosive actions, like sprinting, jumping, or playing a cameo in a “Fast and Furious” movie. (If you have furious-twitch muscle fibers, seek medical assistance.)

During aerobic exercises like running or swimming, slow-twitch fibers are the first to contract. But when you’re throwing around heavy kettlebells or playing a sport, you’re using fast-twitch muscles.

An antenna – usually 1/2 wavelength long – split at the exact center for connection to a feed line. Dipoles are the most common wire antenna. Length is equal to 1/2 of the wavelength for the frequency of operation. In an instructable, the formula for calculating antenna length was given as "length in meters =300 / frequency in MHz". The example given was for a Bluetooth antenna with a frequency of 2450MHz. The antenna length was calculated as 300/2450 = 0.1225m = 12cm.

More information SUBSCRIBE Everything You Need to Know About Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Medically reviewed by Stacy Sampson, D.O. — Written by Ann Pietrangelo — Updated on March 29, 2019 Symptoms Causes Diagnosis Treatment Medications for COPD Diet Living Stages Lung Cancer Statistics Outlook What is COPD? Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, commonly referred to as COPD, is a group of progressive lung diseases. The most common are emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Many people with COPD have both of these conditions. Emphysema slowly destroys air sacs in your lungs, which interferes with outward air flow. Bronchitis causes inflammation and narrowing of the bronchial tubes, which allows mucus to build up. The top cause of COPD is tobacco smoking. Long-term exposure to chemical irritants can also lead to COPD. It’s a disease that usually takes a long time to develop. Diagnosis usually involves imaging tests, blood tests, and lung function tests. There’s no cure for COPD, but treatment can help ease symptoms, lower the chance of complications, and generally improve quality of life. Medications, supplemental oxygen therapy, and surgery are some forms of treatment. Untreated, COPD can lead to a faster progression of disease, heart problems, and worsening respiratory infections. It’s estimated that about 30 million people in the United States have COPD. As many as half are unaware that they have it.

The five components of physical fitness are cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and body composition, according to Fit Day. There is unanimous agreement in the fitness community that these are the five components of physical fitness, though the definition of what level of fitness needs to be achieved is a personal one.

They went back to the drawing board—and the chalkboard—to build an educational Garden of Eden. We’re publishing their answers to one question each day this week. Voluntary muscles are long, multinucleated cells, containing sarcomeres arranged into bundles. These muscles are composed of cylindrical fibers and are usually attached to bones and the skin. They play an important role in allowing the body to move by contracting and relaxing and their actions are mainly under the control of the somatosensory nervous system. These voluntary muscles include skeletal muscles.
