Radian has a physical relevance....i.e it is the ratio of arc and radius of same length.....Whereas degree has no such direct physical relevance, the complete angle of circle is divided into 360 degrees.

1. A is a member of the null set. (Given) 2. The null set has no members (By definition) 3. A is not a member of the null set. (Universal instantiation from (2)) 4. A is a member of the null set, or A is the null set (Disjunction Introduction from 1) 5. A is the null set (Disjunctive Syllogism, from 3, 4) It's not quite what you asked, but if you are not given that A is a member of the null set, you can still prove: 6. If A is a member of the null set, then A is the null set (Conditional proof, from 1, 5)

Let p(n): x+4x+7x+........+(3n-2)x=1/2n(3n-2)x P(1): x=(3*1-2) x=x, so p(1) is true Now , assume that p(k) is also true for some integer k P(k): x+4x+7x+........+(3k-2)x=1/2k(3k-2)x Now , put n=k+1 P(k+1): x+4x+7x+........+(3k-2)x+{3(k+1)-2}x=1/2(k+1){3(k+1)-2}x LHS: x+4x+7x+.......+(3x-2)x+(3k+1)x From above equation 1/2k(3k-2)x+(3k+1)x Taking LCM and solving 1/2(k+1){3(k+1)-2}x....RHS.... hence proof

The number of sets of a set containing n-elements =2n .

A proper subset of a set is the set whose elements are in the given set, but it is not equal to the set.

Let S be a subset of A, S is called Proper subset if and only if it is a subset of A, and S ≠ A .

So, The number of proper subsets of a set containing n-elements is 2^{ n }- 1

As, The number of subsets contains a improper subset that is the set itself, so 1 is subtracted from number of total subsets to get number of proper subsets.

The set of numbers given by you is infinite and there is no pattern in the numbers in the set, so it can not be written in set builder form. For clarity, you can read the note above example 6 of Sets which is opposite to this case.....

Ashrut Sood 5 years, 7 months ago

Also the set contains element 1 your form does not satisfy it

Ashrut Sood 5 years, 7 months ago

The set continues to infinity

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 7 months ago

Let A be the set A={1,5,10,15}

We have seen that the above set is the multiple of 5.

So, The equation satisfying this set is P=5n, n is the natural number and n<3

Put n=1 , P=5

Put n=2, P=10

Put n=3, P=15

A = { 1 , 5 , 10, 15} in set builder form  is

A = { P :P = 5n where n<3}
