Using identity sec^2A-tan^2A=1 we get tanA+secA-(sec^2A-tan^2A)÷tanA-secA+1 So tanA + sec A -(secA+tanA)(secA-tanA)÷tanA-secA+1 =( tan A + secA)(1-secA+tanA)÷tanA -sec A +1 On cancelling the terms we get tan A + sec A = sinA/cos A +1/cosA= sinA+1/cosA

cos^2x+sin^2x +sin2x- (cos^2x-sin^2x)÷ cos^2x+sin^2x+sin2x +cos^2x-sin^2x Using identity cos^2x+sin^2x=1 and cos2x=cos^2x-sin^2x. On simplifying we get 2sin^2x +sin2x÷2cos^2x+sin2x = 2sinx(sinx+cosx)÷2cosx(cosx+sinx) =sinx/cosx = tanx
