Equal sets have the exact same elements in them, even though they could be out of order. Equivalent sets have different elements but have the same amount of elements. ... A set's cardinality is the number of elements in the set. Therefore, if two sets have the same cardinality, they are equivalent!

Thanks for helping me

Yogita Ingle 7 years, 3 months ago

Two sets A and B can be equal only if each element of set A is also the element of the set B. Also, if two sets are the subsets of each other, they are said to be equal.
A = B

Keshav Bindal 7 years, 3 months ago

Let x belongs to C-B => x belongs to C and x not belongs to B => x belongs to C and x not belongs to A [because A is subset of B then if x not belongs to B then x also not belongs to A] => x belongs to C-A . Therefore C-B is a subset of C-A.
