Irrational because its decimal expansion is non repeating and non terminating or you can say that it is irrational because it cannot be expressed in the form of p/q where p and q are integers and co-prime.

S =(0,0), eq of directrix= 3x-4y+2=0 Let p (x,y) PM be the distance PM = | 3x-4y+2|/root under 3^2+(-4)^2 By def of parabola PS^2=PM^2 (x-0)^2+(y-0)^2=(3x-4y+2)^2/5^2 x^2+y^2=9x^2+16y^2+4-24xy-16y+12x Solve this u get eq of parabola

10^(2n-1) +1 is divisible by 11. We will prove this statement by induction. For n = 1 this is true, Now we assume that it is true for n = k Therefore 10^(2k-1) + 1 = 11×t (where t is some integer. => 10^(2k-1) = 11×t - 1 ..... equation 1 For n = k + 1 LHS = 10^(2(k+1) - 1) +1 = 100×10^(2k-1) +1 From equation 1 we substitute value of 10^(2k-1), LHS = 100×(11×t - 1) +1 = 11 (100×t + 9) which is clearly a multiple of 11. Hence proved
