12. Booker T Washington is the central figure and author of Up From Slavery, and the text details his progress from being born as a slave to becoming one of America’s foremost educational thinkers and black conservative political figures. Washington was of mixed racial descent, as his father was a white plantation owner and his mother was a black slave. Washington was born into slavery in Virginia in 1856, but throughout his life he also lived in Malden, West Virginia and eventually Tuskegee, Alabama, where he founded his famous Tuskegee Institute. Washington’s central character trait is his dedication to hard work, which in his words is the sole explanation for his success. He is guided by the belief that honesty, hard labor, and practical education can help anyone find success in America, and he believes that racial progress can only be accomplished through gradual gains in individual communities, not through political activism or federal sanctions. That's All, Hopes........ It'll help You.........

Hi!
Note Making is easy and scoring. I’m attaching the pictures of the correct format. However, here are a few points to remember while you attempt a note making question :
- Have a title that gives a little idea about the passage. Keep it short and simple like Power of Knowledge, Pharmaceuticals-Good & Bad, Need for Moral Values.
- Write the title in BOLD Uppercase letters.
- The headings that follow should also be in uppercase. Keep it short, maximum two to three words.
- The entire content should not be of more than 3–4 words in each point. Avoid going to the next line for a single point.
- Follow a particular number bulletin format. Like if you start with 1, next should be 1.1 and then 1.1.1
- Use Abbreviations. Make abbreviations only by removing the vowels in the word. Use at least 6 abbreviations.
- Make a key index to the abbreviations.
- Take care of the formatting and alignment. It makes it neater.
- Draw a box around your notes as well as the index table.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have further queries........

Format of notice does not change with advancing classes, so you've a need to remember it.....
However u need to know it is one of the easiest ways to score 4 marks in english. So let's go stepwise........
- First of all start with a box. If u miss this u loose a mark. In fact I suggest u draw a box for everything in the writing section. Better be safe.
- On the first line write name of institution and address in the center in capital letters.
- Leave a line and write the word notice in capital letters in the center.
- Leave a line and write date in the left side.
- In the next line write the heading or topic in regular letters.
- Then start your notice. Mind it to be straight forward and informative. See that u have supplied all the necessary information. Should not take more than 5 lines. 6 at the max. End with “for more information contact……”
- Leave a line and write 'our full name as signature under it your designation. That's It......
