Classical mechanics fails when applied to microscopic objects like electrons, atoms and molecules, etc. This is because the classical mechanics ignores the concept of dual nature of matter. The branch of science that takes into account this dual behaviour of matter is called quantum mechanics. The absorption and emission spectra of hydrogen like atom explained by Bohr theory is the experimental evidence in support of the idea that electronic energies in an atom are quantized. The various line obtained in the spectrum of hydrogen (Lyman,. Balmar, Paschan , Brackett and Pfund series) are based on the assumption of electronic energies in an atom are quantized.

A correction, 1) most alpha rays pass straight through atom. 3) 1/12000 alpha rays. Sorry.

Adithya Dev A 3 years, 5 months ago

1) Most of the α - rays emerged out of the gold foil with large amount of scattering indicating that most of the space inside a gold atom is empty. 2) A few α - rays suffered a small amount of deviation indicating that something which is positive in charge is situated at inside every gold atom. 3) 1 out of every 2000 rays came out of the gold foil undeviated retracing the path indicating that all positive charges present in an atom is accumulated at a very small volume inside the atom.

Molar mass (M2) = 14 + 3 = 17 g// Therefore, M = (W2/ M2 * V) * 1000 = (0.85/ 17 * 100) * 1000 = 0.5 mol/L//

Often in experimental studies, researchers will have participants provide responses to several different treatments. In these types of studies, order effects refer to differences in participant responses as a result of the order in which treatments are presented to them.

First convert it into moles . In order to convert it into moles divide it by Avogadro number then you will get 1 mole. As you know that 1mol= 22.4 litres .
