Deuteromycetes are called imperfect fungi because of the absence of sexual phase . In deuteromycetes sexual phase is not described.If sexual phase us discover in deuteromycetes then it will move from deuteromycetes to basidiomycetes and ascomycetes. Only asexual phase and vegetative phase is present. Only the reason is due to the absence of sexual reproduction.
