India practised federalism by - (i) Linguistic states - After independence, in 1947 , the boundaries several old States of India were changed in order to create new states. This was done to ensure that people who spoke the same language, share common culture, ethnicity or geography could live in same state. (ii) - Language policy - Our Constitution didn't give the status of national language to any one language. Though hindi was identified as the official language but the central government hasn't imposed Hindi on states where people speak different language. (iii) - Centre-State relations - Improving the centre - state relations is one more way in which federalism has been strengthened in practice.

The reasons behind the slower rate of technological changes in the factories in Britain in the early 19th century were:
1.The technology did not spread rapidly and uniformly throughout Europe.New technology was expensive and was not appreciated initially by merchants and industrialists.he machines often broke down and their repair and maintenance was costly. They did not seemed to be as effective as claimed by the manufacturers.
2.At the beginning of the 19th century, there were about 321 steam engines all over Britain.Of these 80 were found in cotton industries, 9 in woollen industries and rest in mining and coal industries.
3. The usage of steam engine was limited in the beginning of the 19th century. It was one of the most important invention of the century but the industrialists took time to implement it in production.

The battle of Buxar was fought b/w the English and joint forces of Mir Qasim, Shuja-ud-Daulah and Emperor Shah Alam 2nd to defeat the British. The major cause of this battle was the conflict b/w Mir Qasim and the British. The British introduced a system of dual government according to which the Nawab would be responsible for the administration and the revenue of the land would be collected by the British. The company used this money to increase and promote their trade and not for the improvement of Bengal. This Battle of Buxar was fought in 1764 AD.

At first, printed books looked similar with the handwritten manuscripts. In fact, the metal letters imitated the ornamental handwritten styles. The three characteristic features of printed books were
(i) In these books, borders were illuminated by hand with foliage and other different patterns. Illustrations in these books were painted.
(ii) The books printed for the rich, some spaces were kept blank. Again each purchase had the right to select the design and decide the particular painting school that would do the illustration.
(iii) The printed books and literature could stimulate many distinctive individual interpretations of faith even among little educated working people.

The new style didn't entirely displace the existing art of producing books by hand.
Because in past, the print technology was expensive. So writers could not afford it. Handwritten books were still appreciable and had a craze among people.
Borders were illuminated by hand with foliage(leaf-like designs) and other patterns and illustrations were painted. The metal letters imitated the ornamental handwritten styles.
