More availablity of resource will not bring economic development justify the statement. For economic growth, the existence of natural resources in abundance is essential. A country which is deicient in natural resources will not be in a position to develop rapidly, but more availability of resources does not ensure economic development. There are certain regions that are rich in resources but are not economically developed. The resources and technological advancement goes hand in hand. No state can ensure economic development if it does not keep pace with the latest technology.  Example: Northeast sates which are rich in mineral resources but are considered to be underdeveloped because of lack of appropriate technology.

We can't buy a pollution free environment and happiness

Teresa Singh ✌🏻 5 years, 2 months ago

money cannot buy all the goods and services that one needs to live well because of the following reasons. -Money can buy things that can be one factor on which our life depends like food. But the quality of non-material things like freedom, security and respect cannot be bought with money. -We cannot buy pollution free environment, unadulterated medicines and peace with money. -Schools, colleges, parks, hospitals, etc. are the facilities which cannot be run individually. There has to be a collective effort of team work between the government or society in providing these to the general public.

After primary and secondary sectors, there is a third sector called the service sector also known as tertiary sector. Activities that fall under the service sector help in the development of the primary and secondary sectors by not directly producing a good but helping these sectors by activities that are an aid or a support for the production process.

In fact, the very first article of the UN Declaration of Human Rights states that “all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.” Everybody has an idea of what equality means. It's the state of being equal in status, rights, or opportunities. It's about fairness, justice, and non-discrimination. Like we have equal opportunities for job and education irrespective of our caste, gender, religion etc

Main criterion used by the world bank is per capita income. Limitations of this are: #there are other factors also which are to be considered. # It's not necessary that people living in countries having high per capita income are likely to earn equally. # there may be wide gap between rich and poor. # It doesn't if literacy rate, death rate, life expectancy rate are not good or high, besides having high per capita income, then the country can't be considered as developed country.
