According to Fleming's left hand rule, stretch the thumb, forefinger and middle finger of your left hand such that they are mutually perpendicular. If the first finger points in the direction of magnetic field and the second finger in the direction of current, then the thumb will point in the direction of motion or the force acting on the conductor.

Total Internal Reflection |
Reflection from a plane mirror |
|
It takes place only when light passes from a denser medium to a rarer medium at an angle of incidence greater than the critical angle for that pair of media.
|
It takes place when light is incident on a plane mirror from any medium at any angle of incidence. |
|
The entire light is reflected. |
Only a part of light is reflected while rest is refracted and absorbed. |
|
There is no loss of energy. The energy of reflected ray is same as that of incident ray. |
There is a loss of energy. The energy of reflected ray is less than that of the incident ray. |
|
The image is much brighter and the brightness is permanent. |
The image is less bright and the brightness gradually decreases as the silvering on mirror becomes old and rough. |

Photosynthesis is an endothermic reaction because sunlight energy is absorbed during the process of photosynthesis by the plants.
And our definition says that when in a reaction heat is absorbed it is termed as endothermic reaction.

(i) Tyndal effect This is the scattering of light when it passes through a colloidal solution. The path of a beam of light passing through a true solution is not visible. However its path becomes visible when it passes through a colloidal solution. Where the size of particles is relatively larger.
(ii) The colour of sky appears blue to us : During the day time, sky appears blue. This is because the size of the particles in the atmosphere is smaller than the wavelength of visible light, so they are more effective in scattering the light of shorter wavelengths (blue end of spectrum). When sunlight passes through the atmosphere, the fine particles scatter the blue colour more strongly than red. The scattered blue light enters our eye. Hence, the sky appears blue.
(iii) At sunrise and sunset, colour of sun and sky appears red because of scattering of light. Near the horizon most of the blue light and shorter wavelength light are scattered away by the particles. Therefore light that reaches our eyes is of longer wavelengths. i.e., reddish colour.
