The various characteristics of chemical reactions are:
- Evolution of a gas: The chemical reaction between zinc and dilute sulphuric acid is characterized by the evolution of hydrogen gas.
- Formation of a precipitate: The chemical reaction between potassium iodide and lead nitrate is characterised by the formation of a yellow precipitate of lead iodide.
- Change in colour: The chemical reaction between citric acid and purple coloured potassium permanganate solution is characterised by change in colour (from purple to colourless).
- Change in temperature: The reaction between quick lime and water to form slaked lime is characterised by a change in temperature.
- Change in state: When wax is burned, then water and carbon dioxide are formed. Wax is a solid; water is a liquid whereas carbon dioxide is a gas.

Nastic movements
→ Nastic movements are non directional responses to stimuli such as temperature and heat.
→ The most important feature of this type of movement is that movements are not governed by the direction of the stimulus.
→ They may be induced by touch (seismonastic), temperature (Thermonastic), light, and chemicals.
→ Whatever be the direction of stimulus, the movements always occur in a particular direction without reference to the direction of the stimulus
→ Example of seismonastic movement is movement of Venus fly trap.
Tropic movement
→ Tropic movement is the response to stimuli that comes from one direction.
→ It is a directional movement.
→ If the movement of the plant part is towards the stimulus, then it is known as positive tropism . If the movement of the plant part is away from the stimulus, then it is known as negative tropism .
→ For example phototropism, Geotropism etc.
Tropisms and nastic movements are both plant responses to external stimuli. however tropisms are depend on the direction of the stimulus nastic movements do not depend on the direction of a stimulus

Vena cava is either of the two large veins that drain blood from the upper body and from the lower body and pour it into the right atrium of the heart.
The superior vena cava is the large vein which returns blood to the heart from the upper parts of the body such as head, neck and both upper limbs. The inferior vena cava returns blood to the heart from the lower part of the body.

Copper metal is more reactive than silver metal thus, when copper spoon is kept immersed in silver nitrate solution for some time, it displaces silver from silver nitrate solution.
Reaction involved
Cu + 2AgNO3 ---> Cu(NO3)2 + 2Ag
The grey solid crystal of Ag metal are seen growing on the copper spoon and solution turns blue in colour.

Platinum and gold are some of the elements that are found on the bottom of the reactivity series. This means that the two elements do not easily react with other elements. These metals are part of the group of the noble metals that have the character of least reactivity among the metals.This decrease in reactivity is due to the high ionization energies.
This is therefore why gold and platinum do not corrode in moist air as they would not react with the water or air.

GIVEN:
Power=750w
V=220volts
P=Vx I
I=P/V
=750/220
=3.40A
By ohm's law, we have V=IR
R=V/I
=220/3.40
=64.7 OHMS.
THEREFORE, The current passing through circuit is 3.40A and Resistance =64.7 OHMS.
