Rancidity: It is defined as chemical decomposition of oils and fats which in another words is spoiling food materials that difficult for consumption.
It can be prevented by following methods:
(i) The packing of food materials should be replaced the air with Nitrogen.
(ii) The food materials should be placed at very low temperatures.
(iii) Addition of antioxidants also prevents rancidity process.

Oxidation of food resulting in bad taste and bad smell is known as rancidity.
Ways to prevent rancidity are :
1)by adding antioxidants .
2)by refrigerating the food items.
3)by flushing the food with nitrogen gas.
4)by using air tight containers.
5)by vacuum packing.

The resistance of the wire will increase if we made the conductor thinner because R (resistance) = p (rho). l (length) / A (area of cross-section or thickness of wire).
Area is directly proportional to the radius of the wire.
So as you can see if area of cross-section ( or thickness) of wire increases, resistance decreases and more current flows through it.

If you have an inductance in the circuit the current will rise until the emf generated by the inductance equals the applied voltage. The current will then continue at a rate determined by the circuit resistance. The current may be varied by varying the input voltage, or by varying the resistance of the circuit. In order to lower the amperage of an electrical circuit, you must either lower the circuit's voltage or increase its resistance. Lowering amperage is done by applying Ohm's law, given by the formula I = V/R, where I is the circuit's total current in amperes, V is the voltage and R is the resistance. If too much current flows, the fuse wire rises to a higher temperature and melts, thus opening the circuit, but destroying the fuse. A circuit breaker opens a circuit as soon as the current climbs to unsafe levels, and can be used repeatedly.
