When a girl is born, the ovaries already contain thousands of immature eggs. On reaching puberty, some of these start maturing. One egg is produced every month by one of the ovaries. The egg is carried from the ovary to the womb through a thin oviduct or fallopian tube. The two oviducts unite into an elastic bag-like structure known as the uterus. The uterus opens into the ****** through the cervix. The sperms enter through the vaginal passage during sexual intercourse. They travel upwards and reach the oviduct where they may encounter the egg. The fertilised egg, the zygote, gets implanted in the lining of the uterus, and starts dividing.

The release of an ovum from an ovary is called ovulation. In human females, the ovaries start releasing ovum once every 28 days from the age of puberty. Fertilisation is possible if mating takes place during the middle of menstrual cycle because in a normal healthy girl the ovulation takes place on the 14th day of the beginning of menstrual cycle of 28 days. The embedding of embryo in the thick lining of the uterus is called implantation.

CONCAVE MIRROR :- a spherical mirror which reflecting surface curved inward is called concave mirror. CONVEX MIRROR:- as spherical mirror with reflecting surface curved out ward is called convex mirror.

Narendra Kushwah 5 years, 2 months ago

Concave Mirror We know that a cut out of a reflective sphere is a spherical mirror. If the reflective surface is on the side curved inwards, it is a concave mirror. Concave mirrors are commonly used as shaving mirrors or by dentists and even in telescopes. The reflected image is magnified but the field of view is limited. Concave mirrors are also called converging mirrors. Convex Mirror Similarly, if the reflective surface is curved outwards, it is a convex mirror. Convex mirrors are used extensively as part of car mirrors. Depending on the focal length, the reflected image is reduced in size but the field of view is more. This is very useful for drivers as the blind spots are drastically reduced. Convex mirrors are also called fish eye or diverging mirrors. You can recognize these mirrors easily as the outward bulge is quite evident most of the time

There are no batteries that actually store electrical energy; all batteries store energy in some other form. ... The space between the electrodes is filled with an electrolyte--an ionic liquid that conducts electricity. One electrode--the anode--permits electrons to flow out of it. The other--the cathode--receives them.  A battery is a device that stores chemical energy and converts it to electrical energy. The chemical reactions in a battery involve the flow of electrons from one material (electrode) to another, through an external circuit. The flow of electrons provides an electric current that can be used to do work.

Abnormally high blood pressure and a combination of high psychological stress are known as Hypertension. These patients suffering from this disorder will have their blood pressure reading greater than 140 over 90 mm.

Hypertension is diagnosed by measuring blood pressure. The Systolic pressure would be the first readings viz. a pressure by which the heart pumps blood through the body, and second readings would be the Diastolic pressure, meaning a pressure at which the heart relaxes and refills the blood.

Diffusion is unable to meet the oxygen requirements of multi-cellular organisms such as humans because diffusion is one of the slow processes. That is a lot of time is required for oxygen to circulate to all the cells of the body. Besides, in humans oxygen requirement is more at cellular and tissue level. Therefore, through diffusion, it becomes difficult for oxygen to reach all the cells.

A rainbow is regarded as one of the most spectacular light shows observed on the earth. Rainbow is a multicoloured arc made due to the striking of light on water droplets. Rainbow is produced after the rain, by reflection, refraction and light dispersion process in droplets of water. All such events develop a light spectrum in the sky are called rainbow.

The necessary conditions for the formation of the rainbow

  • Presence of raindrops.
  • Sun should be at your back to observe the rainbow.

Formation of the rainbow:

  • Light rays, reach the drop near its top level. At first, there is refraction, then the dispersion of white light into colours of a different wavelength.

  • The violet is the most deviated and red is the least deviated colour.

  • Reaching the opposite side of the drop, each colour is refracted back into the drop due to the complete internal reflection that hits the drop surface.

  • Every colour is refracted to the air again.

  • We experience the rainbow when we observe in between 42-20 degrees.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 2 months ago

  1. A rainbow is a natural spectrum of sunlight in the form of bows appearing in the sky when the sun shines on rain drops.
  2. It is combined result of reflection, refraction and dispersion of sunlight from water droplets, in atmosphere.
  3. Always it formed in the direction opposite to the sun.
  4. To see a rainbow, the sun must behind us and the water droplets falls infront of us.
  5. When a sunlight enters into a spherical rain¬drop, it is refracted and dispersed. The different colours of light bent in different angles.
  6. When different colours of light fall on the back inner surface of drop, it (water drop) reflects (different colours of light) internally (total internal reflection).
  7. The water drops again refracts the different colours, when it comes out from the raindrop.
  8. After leaving this different colours from the raindrop as rainbow, reach our eye. Thus, we see a rainbow.

DNA are important for character which we have gave from our parents it is very important because if DNA won't be copied then the daughter cells won't receive all necessary genes. By this stability of population is maintained

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 2 months ago

The copying of DNA during reproduction is important because:

  • The replication of DNA ensures that each daughter cell formed at the end of cell division, receives equal amount of DNA.
  • If DNA won't be copied then the daughter cells won't receive all necessary genes.
  • There may be absence of important proteins which are encoded by DNA, if DNA won't be replicated.
  • Copying of DNA may result in recombination which will lead to evolution.
  • Transfer of genetic material from one generation to other makes the organisms to have similar functions.
  • Stability of population is maintained.

Akash K 5 years, 2 months ago

DNA determines the body design of an individual. The DNA that gets transffered from parents to offsprings make them look similar. DNA copying is important for reproduction.Additional copies of DNA are made during replication which is necessary for new cells formed after cell division

Resistance is directly proportional to area and inversely proportional to length.

Hence if we increase resistance we get increased area and decreased length and vice - versa.

Also Resistivity wont change if the length and area is changed. It remains constant for all values for a given material.

So,

Let the original length be = x

Let the original area be = y

Resistivity = k ( Constant )

So Resistance = ky / x   -----( Equation 1 )

Now given that length is halved and area is doubled. Then we get,

Length = x / 2

Area = 2y

Resistivity = k ( Constant )

Now Resistance = k * 2y / x / 2

= 2 ky * 2 / x

= 4 ky / x   -----( Equation 2 )

Now comparing Equation 1 and 2 we get that,

Resistance has become 4 times after modifications.

Hence Resistance will become 4 times in the new condition, if the area is doubled and length is halved.

Pure acids in the liquid state are exceedingly poor conductors of electricity. The fact that aqueous solutions of acids conduct electricity is definite evidence of the existence of ions in these solutions. Acids undergo dissociation in aqueous solution to form H+ ions.

When electricity is passed through an aqueous solution of an acid, the H+ ions reach the cathode and each H+ ion picks up one electron from the cathode to form H2 gas. Because of this reaction, an aqueous solution of acid conducts electricity.

HCl(aq) → H+(aq) + Cl(aq)
