Concave mirror: the spherical mirror with inward curved reflecting surface is called concave mirror. A beam of light generally converges after reflection from such surfaces, it is also called convergent mirror. Convex mirror: the spherical mirror with outward curved reflecting surface is called convex mirror. A beam of light generally diverges after reflection from this surface, it is also called divergent mirror.

Ishika Kumari 4 years, 10 months ago

Convex mirror : 1. Reflecting surfaces is in the outer part of the sphere. 2. Image is virtual and erect. 3. Magnification is always less than 1 .

Ishika Kumari 4 years, 10 months ago

Concave mirror : 1. Reflecting surface is in the inner part of the mirror . 2. Image can be a real and inverted or virtual and erect . 3. Magnification can be either greater, equal or less than 1 .

In the periodic table ,As we go from left to right the metallic character decreases and the non metallic character increases......Furthermore, the tendency of an element to gain electrons increases with increases in effective nuclear charge , so non metallic character increases from moving left to right in a period. Hope it helps you!!

Sounak Chatterjee 4 years, 10 months ago

In a group if non metallic character decrease as we go from top to bottom. This happens because the distance between the valence shell and the nucleas increases as we go down a group. Therefore electrons can be given out easily as we go down a group and metallic character increases and non metallic character decreases.

Noor Lail 4 years, 10 months ago

Root hair have thin walls. Due to this, water enters the root hair because of osmosis. Water from root hair continuously moves into the root xylem. To maintain the osmotic gradient, the cells of root hair actively take up ions from the soil.

Sounak Chatterjee 4 years, 10 months ago

The roots of plants contain tiny hair called root hair. Water and minerals are absorbed by root hair through the process of diffusion. Then the water absorbed by the root hair from the soil pass from cell to cell by osmosis through the epidermis, root cortex, endodermis and reach the root xlem.
