Magnesium ribbon be cleaned before burning in air to remove the oxide and carbonate layer present in it.

Mahira Srivastava 4 years, 3 months ago

To remove all the impurities

Nancy Kuri 4 years, 3 months ago

Because magnesium reacts with oxygen and forms a coating of magnesium oxide (MgO) on the ribbon. This resists the ribbon from burning properly .

1) Indiscriminate waste disposal = leads to several global ecological crises (like global warming, landfills, soil degradation, etc.) 2) Excessive use of pesticides and other chemicals = leads to OZONE LAYER DEPLETION. Thus, the protective ozone layer which protects life on Earth from the harmful UV radiations of the Sun will get weakened thereby, killing organisms and causing imbalance in ecosystem.

Diffusion is a very slow process. If diffusion happens in multicellular organisms then it will take approximately 3 years to complete the oxygen requirement from head to feet.

Sanyam Pratap Singh 4 years, 3 months ago

Because all the cells of our body are not in direct contact with atmosphere and also multicellular organisms need more oxygen than other organisms. That's why diffusion is insufficient.

Homozygous and heterozygous are terms that are used to describe allele pairs. Individuals carrying two identical alleles (RR or rr) are known as homozygous. While individual organisms bearing different alleles (Rr) are known as heterozygous.
For example, assume gene of hair colour has two alleles, one of the allele codes for brown (R) and the other codes for black (r).

Homozygous will have the same colour alleles on homologous pairs, i.e. ‘RR’ or ‘rr’ and the heterozygous will have different alleles on homologous pair of chromosomes, i.e., Rr.
In this article, let us discuss the difference between homozygous and heterozygous.

Biological magnification is the phenomenon in which harmful chemicals enter in the food chain and its concentration increases at each tropic level. The levels of biological magnification is different at different levels of the ecosystem. It will be increases with each successive level. It is maximum at highest tropic levels and minimum at lowest tropic levels. For example, it is higest in humans and lowest in autrophs like plants.

A voltmeter has high resistance so it is connected in parallel. If we connect it in series then current would not able to flow properly which cause voltmeter to burn

Zigyansh Bhardwaj 4 years, 3 months ago

Voltmeter has the resistance which is high or it is taken as infinity if it would be connected in parallel then all the current will be resisted and current will not be able to flow. In Ammeter it's resistance is very low and taken as negligible or zero so it is connected in series....

Kumari Aakriti 4 years, 3 months ago

A voltmeter has high resistance and if it is connected in series then it would consume all the current but an ammeter has low reistance and if it is connected in parallel then all the current would flow through ammeter and nothing would flow in the circuit
