p(x)=x2-6x+a a=3alpha+2beta=20.....(1) from the quadratic expression alpha+beta=6.....(2) and alpha×beta=a.....(3) multiply eq.. (2)by 2and subtract from(1) a=20-6×2 a=20-12=8alpha substitute this value in (2) beta=6-8=-2 then( -2)is beta and( 8)is alpha then=alpha×beta =8×-2=-16 answer

. . 6 years, 11 months ago

Find sum of zeroes alpha+beta=-b/a u will get a value then find the value of alp.and beta with the help of given information and then find product of zroz =c/a u will get the value of a

we have to Solve the equation, {tex}\frac { 1 } { x + 4 } - \frac { 1 } { x - 7 } = \frac { 11 } { 30 } , x \neq - 4{/tex} ,{tex}7{/tex} for x.

Given equation, {tex}\frac { 1 } { x + 4 } - \frac { 1 } { x - 7 } = \frac { 11 } { 30 }{/tex}

or, {tex}\frac { x - 7 - x - 4 } { ( x + 4 ) ( x - 7 ) } = \frac { 11 } { 30 }{/tex}

or, {tex}( - 11 ) \times 30 = 11 ( x + 4 ) ( x - 7 ){/tex}

or, {tex}x ^ { 2 } - 3 x + 2 = 0{/tex}

or, {tex}x ^ { 2 } - 2 x - x + 2 = 0{/tex}

or, (x - 1)(x - 2 ) = 0

{tex}\therefore {/tex} x = 1, 2

Let the ratio be x
{tex}\therefore{/tex} Radius 'r' = 5x
Height 'h' = 12x
{tex}\therefore{/tex} Slant height = {tex}\sqrt { r ^ { 2 } + h ^ { 2 } } = \sqrt { ( 5 x ) ^ { 2 } + ( 12 x ) ^ { 2 } }{/tex} =13x
Now, volume = 314 m3 [given]
{tex}\Rightarrow {/tex} {tex}\frac { 1 } { 3 } \pi r ^ { 2 } h{/tex} = 314
{tex}\Rightarrow {/tex} {tex}\frac { 1 } { 3 }{/tex} {tex}\times{/tex} 3.14 {tex}\times{/tex} 25 x{tex}\times{/tex} 12x = 314
{tex}\Rightarrow {/tex} x3 = {tex}\frac { 314 \times 3 } { 3.14 \times 25 \times 12 }{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow {/tex} x = 1
{tex}\therefore{/tex} Slant height = 13x = 13m
Radius = 5x = 5m

Volume of hemisphere =  2425.5 cu cm.
Volume of hemisphere = 2/3πr³
2425.5 = 2/3 × 22/7× r³
r³ = (2425.5 × 21)/44
r³ = 50935.5/44
r³ = 1157.625
r = 10.5 cm
Now,
Curved Surface Area of hemisphere = 2πr²
= 2×22/7×10.5×10.5
= 693 sq cm
CSA of hemisphere is 693 sq cm.

Let AB be the wall and AC be the ladder

We have,
AC = 15 m and ∠BAC = 60°
Cos 60° = AB/AC
⇒ 1/2 = AB/15
⇒  AB = 15/2 m

. . 6 years, 11 months ago

Take ladder as the hypotenuse and height of as the perpendicular and dist. bet . base of wall and ladder as the base then apply tan 60
