Suppose Arjun had x arrows.
Number of arrows used to cut arrows of Bheeshm = x/2
Number of arrows used to kill the rath driver = 6
Number of other arrows used = 3 (required to knock down rath, flag & bow of bheem)
According to the question;  Remaining arrows = {tex}4 \sqrt { x } + 1{/tex}
Total no. of arrows Arjuna had = {tex}\quad \frac { x } { 2 } + 6 + 3 + 4 \sqrt { x } + 1{/tex}
{tex}\therefore \quad \frac { x } { 2 } + 6 + 3 + 4 \sqrt { x } + 1 = x{/tex}{tex}\Rightarrow\frac{\displaystyle x}{\displaystyle2}+10+4\sqrt x=x{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow \quad x + 20 + 8 \sqrt { x } = 2 x{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow \quad x = 20 + 8 \sqrt { x }{/tex}
Putting {tex}\sqrt x=y\Rightarrow y=x^2{/tex} , the above equation becomes
       y2 = 20 + 8y
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} y2 - 8y - 20 = 0
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} y2 -10y +2y -20 = 0
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} (y - 10) (y + 2) = 0
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} y = 10 or. y = -2
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} y = 10 [{tex}\because{/tex} y cannot be negative , as it is square root of x ]
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} x = y2 {tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} x = 100
Hence, the number of arrows which Arjun had is x = 100.

Volume of  a gulab jamun

{tex} = \frac{2}{3}\pi {(1.4)^3} + \pi {(1.4)^2}(2.2) + \frac{2}{3}\pi {(1.4)^3}{/tex}
{tex} = \frac{4}{3}\pi {(1.4)^3} + \pi {(1.4)^2}(2.2){/tex}
{tex} = \pi {(1.4)^2}\left[ {\frac{{4 \times 1.4}}{3} + 2.2} \right]{/tex}
{tex} = \pi (1.96)\left[ {\frac{{5.6 + 6.6}}{3}} \right]{/tex}
{tex} = \frac{{\pi (1.96)(12.2)}}{3}c{m^3}{/tex}
{tex}\therefore {/tex} Volume of 45 gulab jamuns
{tex} = 45 \times \frac{{\pi (1.96)(12.2)}}{3}{/tex}
{tex} = 15\pi (1.96 \times 12.2){/tex}
{tex} = 15 \times \frac{{22}}{7} \times 1.96 \times 12.2{/tex}
{tex} = 15 \times 22 \times 2.8 \times 12.2{/tex}
= 1127.28 cm3
{tex}\therefore {/tex} Volume of syrup
{tex} = 1127.28 \times \frac{{30}}{{100}}{/tex}
= 338.184 cm3
= 338 cm3 (approx.)

Let the greater number be x and the smallest number be y. ATQ, 2x-45= y.........1 and y -21= x........2 Add up the equations 1 and 2 now. Then it comes x-66= 0 It implies that x=66 and then substitute the value of x in equation 1 such that it will become 132 - 45 = 87

{tex}(a^2+b^2)-(a-b)^2=a^2+b^2-(a^2+b^2-2ab)=a^2+b^2-a^2-b^2+2ab=2ab{/tex}
{tex}(a+b)^2-(a^2+b^2)=(a^2+b^2+2ab)-a^2-b^2=a^2+b^2+2ab-a^2-b^2=2ab{/tex}
Since (a2+b2)-(a-b)2=(a+b)2-(a2+b2),
(a-b)2, (a2+b2) and (a+b)2 are in AP.

A perfect square is a number, from a given number system, that can be expressed as the square of a number from the same number system. 25 is a natural number, and since there is another natural number 5, such that 52 = 25, 25 is a perfect square.
