Draw the figure with the help of hints given below Given: ABCD is a trapezium and ABllDC Construction: draw a line EO such that DCllEOllAB To prove: AO/BO=CO/DO Proof: In triangle ADC DE/EA=AO/CO (By B.P.T.) Consider it as equation 1 In triangle ADB DE/EA= BO/DO (ByB.P.T.) Consider it as equation 2 From equation 1 and 2 we get AO/CO= BO/DO = AO/BO=CO/DO (By alternendo) Hence, proved

As it is given from laat so, a=253 d= (-5) a20 = ? an a+(n-1)d a20= 253+(20-1)(-5) = 253+(19)(-5) =253-95 158 Therefore 20th term of an AP from last is 158

Write this in given form 253.......13,8,3 Here, a= 253 and d=8-3 =-5 An = 253+(20-1)(-5) =253 +19*(-5) = 253-95 = 158

Yogita Ingle 6 years ago

3,8,13.......,253
To find 20th term form the last term we consider the sequence as follows
a = 253 and d = 3 - 8 = -5
an = a + (n - 1)d
a20 = a + (20 - 1)d
      = 253 + 19 × (-5)
      = 253 - 95
      = 158
Hence, the 20th term from the last term is 158.

We know, difference between two consecutive terms of an arithmetic progression (AP) must be same. e.g., if a is the first term and d is the common difference of an AP. then, series is : a , a + d , a + 2d , a + 3d , a + 4d...... are in AP now, nth term = = a + (n - 1)d sum of n terms = = a + (a + d) + (a + 2d) + ..... + [a + (n - 1)d] = (a + a + a ....n times ) + [d + 2d + 3d + .... + (n - 1)d ] = na + d[1 + 2 + 3 + ..... + (n -1)] = na + d[(n - 1)(n)/2 ] = n/2 [ 2a + (n - 1)d] hence, = n/2 [2a + (n - 1)d ]
Sn=n/2+{2a+(n-1)d}

Step-by-step explanation: Here ABC is a triangle, In which and Also, Thus,  ( by The alternative interior angle theorem) Similarly,   Thus, By AA similarity postulate, By the property of similar triangles, ⇒ ( By multiplying -1 on both sides ) ⇒  ( By adding 1 on both sides) ⇒ ⇒ ⇒   ( because and CE=2 ) ⇒   But,  AE = AC - CE = 8 - 2 = 6 Thus, AE = 6cm

√2 x² +7x +5 √2 = 0
⇒ √2 x² + 5x + 2x + 5√2 = 0
⇒ √2x²  + 5x + √2*√2*x + 5√2=0
⇒ x(√2x + 5) + √2(√2x + 5) =0
⇒ (x+√2)(√2x+5) = 0
That gives x= - √2 or  x= - 5/√2
