Here we have A=a2+b2 B=2(ac+bd) C=a2+d2 We have the formula b2-4ac So,(2(ac+bd)2-4×a2+b2×c2+d2 (4a2c2+4b2d2-4(a2c2+b2c2+a2d2+b2d2) 4a2c2+4b2d2-4a2c2-4b2c2-4a2d2-4b2d2. -4b2c2-4a2d2 -4(b2c2-a2d2) Here roots are negative so these are imaginary not real . Hence proved

Here we have 1/a+b+c=1/a+1/b+1/x So by shifting x terms to one side 1/a+b+c-1/x=1/a+1/b By taking the LCM of both the sides x-(a+b+x)/x(a+b+x)=a+b/ab x-a-b-x/x(a+b+x)=a+b/ab (x-x=0) -a-b/x(a+b+x)=a+b/ab. -(a+b) -(a+b)/x(a+b+x)=a+b/ab. (-(a+b)=(a+b) ( -1=1) -1/x(a+b+x)=1/ab Cross multiply -ab=x(a+b+x) -ab=xa+xb+x2 By shifting -ab to the other side x2+xa+xb+ab By taking common x(x+a)+b(x+a) (x+a) (x+b) So x=-a or x=-b

First find the amount at the end of each year using the formula of compound interest. Then amount of 2nd year-amount of 1st year will be equal to amount of 3rd year - amount of 2nd year,ie the c.d. is equal.So they are in AP

Let the four consecutive numbers in AP be (a - 3d), (a - d), (a + d) and (a + 3d)
So, according to the question.
a-3d + a - d + a + d + a + 3d = 32
4a = 32
a = 32/4
a = 8 ......(1)
Now, (a - 3d)(a + 3d)/(a - d)(a + d) = 7/15
15(a² - 9d²) = 7(a² - d²)
15a² - 135d² = 7a² - 7d²
15a² - 7a² = 135d² - 7d²
8a² = 128d²
Putting the value of a = 8 in above we get.
8(8)² = 128d²
128d² = 512
d² = 512/128
d² = 4
d = 2
So, the four consecutive numbers are
8 - (3*2)
8 - 6 = 2
8 - 2 = 6
8 + 2 = 10
8 + (3*2)
8 + 6 = 14
Four consecutive numbers are 2, 6, 10 and 14
