Since we have given that
{tex}x^2+5x+8{/tex}
Let α and β are the zeroes of the above quadratic equation.
As we know the relation between zeroes and the coefficients of quadratic equation in the form of ax²+bx+c=0.
{tex}\alpha +\beta =\frac{-b}{a}=\frac{-5}{1}=-5{/tex}
Hence, the value of α+β is -5.

- Trigonometry is used to in measuring the height of a building or a mountain. The distance of a building from the viewpoint and the elevation angle can easily determine the height of a building using the trigonometric functions.
- The calculus is based on trigonometry and algebra.
- The fundamental trigonometric functions like sine and cosine are used to describe the sound and light waves.
- Trigonometry is used in oceanography to calculate heights of waves and tides in oceans.
- It used in the creation of maps
- It is used in satellite systems.

C) -77
Given AP = 10,7,4 find 30th term ??
a = 10 n = 30 d = T2-T1 = 7-10 = -3
Tn = a+(n-1)d
⇒ 10+(30-1)-3
⇒ 10+ 29 × (-3)
⇒ 10 - 87 = -77
T30 = -77..

Let positive integer a = 4m + r , By division algorithm we know here 0 ≤ r < 4 , So
When r = 0
a = 4m
Squaring both side , we get
a2 = ( 4m )2
a2 = 4 ( 4m2)
a2 = 4 q , where q = 4m2
When r = 1
a = 4m + 1
squaring both side , we get
a2 = ( 4m + 1)2
a2 = 16m2 + 1 + 8m
a2 = 4 ( 4m2 + 2m ) + 1
a2 = 4q + 1 , where q = 4m2 + 2m
When r = 2
a = 4m + 2
Squaring both hand side , we get
a2 = ( 4m + 2 )2
a2 = 16m2 + 4 + 16m
a2 = 4 ( 4m2 + 4m + 1 )
a2 = 4q , Where q = 4m2 + 4m + 1
When r = 3
a = 4m + 3
Squaring both hand side , we get
a2 = ( 4m + 3)2
a2 = 16m2 + 9 + 24m
a2 = 16m2 + 24m + 8 + 1
a2 = 4 ( 4m2 + 6m + 2) + 1
a2 = 4q + 1 , where q = 4m2 + 6m + 2
Hence
Square of any positive integer is in form of 4q or 4q + 1 , where q is any integer.
