Let there be two triangles ABC and PQR such that angle C=90⁰ and angle R=90⁰ now, sinB = AC/AB and SinQ=PR/PQ since, sinB = SinQ ⇒ AC/AB = PR/PQ ⇒ AC/PR = AB/PQ and also angleC = angleR ⇒ by SAS similarity, ∆ABC is similar to ∆PQR since corresponding angles of similar triangle are equal ⇒ angleB = angleQ

Sol:   a1 = 96
          a2 = 87
         d = a2 - a1 = 96 - 87 = 9
         an  = a1 + (n-1) d
         an  = 96 + (n-1) 9
         an  = 96 + 9n - 9
         an  = 87 + 9n .
If the value of the 'n' is given, then put it into the above equation.
Otherwise, the equation is the final answer.

17/40 Prime factorise both number 17=17/ 40=2×2×2×5 There is terminating decimal because is in form of2^n 5^ m. So we multiple both number by 5×5=5^2 17 ×5×5 /40×5×5 =425/1000 =425.

Sakshi Rohilla 5 years, 6 months ago

17/5^1*2^3 = 17*5^2/5^3*2°3 = 17*25/10^3 =425/1000=0.425

Here 225 > 135 we always divide greater number with smaller one.
Divide 225 by 135 we get 1 quotient and 90 as remainder so that
225= 135*1 + 90
Divide 135 by 90 we get 1 quotient and 45 as remainder so that
135= 90*1 + 45
Divide 90 by 45 we get 2 quotient and no remainder so we can write it as
90 = 2*45+ 0
As there are no remainder so deviser 45 is our HCF
