Let, first term is A1=2×1+1 =3 Second term A2=2×3+1 =7 Now, D=A2 - A1 D=7 - 3 D= 4 Then, sum of first (n) terms Sn = n/2[2a+(n-1)d] Sn =n/2[2×3+(n-1)4] Sn=n/2[6+4n-4] Sn=n/2[2+4n] Sn=n ^2+n [Hence, Sn=n square +n]

First make two linear equations 3x+4y=66 take it as eq1 (solve that same as like fractions ) 3×x+2y×2/6=11 Next eq no2 4x-y=12 4×x-y×1/4=3 Solve the two eqs 3x+4y=66 and 4x-y=12 multiply 4 for 1st eq and add to balance coeffiecient of y So we get x=6 and y=12

Length = 1872 cm

Width = 1320 cm

The edge of the square tile must be the common divisor of the dimensions of the courtyard.

So, maximum edge of square tile = HCF of 1872 and 1320 = 24 cm

So, required number of tiles = area of courtyard/ Area of square tile = 1872 x 1320/ (24)2 = 4290

Thus, the least number of tiles required to cover the courtyard is 4290.

Let the amount the man initially had be x

When he reached the first temple, the money doubled. So, the amount now is 2x.

He donates 100. So, balance amount = 2x – 100

This again doubles at 2nd temple. So, he has 2 (2x - 100) => 4x – 200

He gives 100. So, he has 4x – 200 – 100 = 4x – 300

Same process at Temple 3.

It doubles and he has 2(4x - 300) = 8x – 600

He gives 100. So, he has 8x – 700

Again doubling at Temple 4. Thus, he has 2(8x - 700) = 16x – 1400

He gives 100 and has nothing. Thus 16x – 1400 – 100 = 0

=> 16x – 1500 = 0

=> 16x = 1500

Therefore, x = 1500/16 = 93.75

Thus, he started from home with Rs.93.75

ANSWER ???? Let the money be = x In temple 1 the money is doubled = 2(x) = 2x He donates rupees 100 in first temple. Then the money will be =2x - 100 In temple 2 the money is doubled = 2( 2x-100) = 4x-200 He donates rupees 100 in second temple = 4x -200-100 = 4X -300 In temple 3 the money is doubled = 2(4x-300) = 8x-600 He donates rupees 100 in third temple =8x-600-100 =8x-700 In temple 4 the money is doubled = 2(8x-700) =16X -1400 He donates rupees 100 in temple fourth =16X -1400-100 = 16X -1500 Therefore => 16X =1500 => X = 1500/16 => X = 93.75 (answer) ???????????????????

Let us suppose that √p + √q is rational.  Let √p + √q = a, where a is rational.  => √q = a – √p  Squaring on both sides, we get  q = a2 + p - 2a√p => √p = (a2 + p - q)/2a, which is a contradiction as the right hand side is rational number, while√p is irrational.  Hence, √p + √q is irrational.
