Please write the format by yourself. I'm writing the body of the letter. Sir, I reside near the Kailash colony and I'm very scipturient for this letter as I'm worried about this problem since a very long time. Since past 5 months the people of my city are compelled to walk on the crowded roads because the pavements were muliated after the heavy rainfall. I've also discussed this problem with local municipality but the floccinaucinihilipilificated the problem. And from the columns of your reputed newspaper I want to draw the attention of people towards this problem. (Thanks Giving)

. The length of a tangent from a point A at distance 5 cm from the centre of the circle is 4 cm. Find the radius of the circle. Answer: Draw the diagram as shown below.  Here, AB is the tangent that is drawn on the circle from a point A. So, the radius OB will be perpendicular to AB i.e. OB ⊥ AB We know, OA = 5cm and AB = 4 cm Now, In △ABO, OA2 =AB2+BO2 (Using Pythagoras theorem) 52 = 42+BO2 BO2 = 25-16 BO2 = 9 BO = 3 So, the radius of the given circle i.e. BO is 3 cm. 7. Two concentric circles are of radii 5 cm and 3 cm. Find the length of the chord of the larger circle which touches the smaller circle. Answer: Draw two concentric circles with the center O. Now, draw a chord AB in the larger circle which touches the smaller circle at a point P as shown in the figure below.  From the above diagram, AB is tangent to the smaller circle to point P. ∴ OP ⊥ AB Using Pythagoras theorem in triangle OPA, OA2= AP2+OP2 52 = AP2+32 AP2 = 25-9 AP = 4 Now, as OP ⊥ AB, Since the perpendicular from the center of the circle bisects the chord, AP will be equal to PB So, AB = 2AP = 2×4 = 8 cm So, the length of the chord of the larger circle is 8 cm

Let Jacob's age be x and his son's be y According to 1st condition x+5 = 3( y + 5) i.e. x - 3y = 10-----------------------------------Eqn1 According to 2nd condition x - 5 = 7( y - 5) i.e. x - 7y = - 30--------------------------------Eqn 2 Then by Elimination method we get y = 10 and then substituting value of y in any of the equations x = 40 So... Jacob's age is 40 years and his son's age is 10 years....

For any prime positive integer p, √p is an irrational number.

Let us assume that √p is a rational number.

Then, there exist positive co-primes a and b such that :-

√p = a/b

p = a²/b²

b²p = a²

p divide a²

p divides a.

a = pc ( positive integer c. )

Now, b²p = a²

b²p = p²c²

b² = pc²

p divide b²

p divides b

Therefore, p/a and p/b

This contradicts the fact that a and b are co-primes.
