When two numbers (they may not be prime) do not have any common factor other than 1 between them they are called co-prime
As the definition suggest , the HCF of a co-prime number will always be 1.

Given, f(x) = x^2 - 2x. Therefore, f(x) = 0. x^2 - 2x = 0. x (x - 2) = 0. Thus, zeroes are 0 and 2.

(I) 31/2^2 * 5^3. Here, since the denominator is of the form 2^n * 5^n, the above number is terminating. Similarly, (II) 50 can be written as 5^2 * 2, (III) 625 = 5^4 and (IV) 1000 = 5^3 * 2^3.

we have to find the value of x and y so by using elimination method 7x-2y=9----------------eq1 we have to multiply eq1 by 3 to make the variable y same (7x-2y=9)*3 21x-6y=27-----------eq1 4x+6y=15------------eq2 by elimination method by adding the eq1 and eq2 21x-6y=27 4x+6y=15 the -6y and +6y get canclled so 24x=42 x=42/24 the value of x is 7/4 putting the value of x in eq2 4x+6y=15 4*7/4+6y=15 4 and 4 get canclled 7+6y=15 6y=15-7 6y=8 y=8/6 that is 4/3 the value of x=7/4 the value of y=4/3

unlock 35 lakh questions What's your doubt? 10th >Maths >Real Numbers >Revisiting Irrational Numbers >Prove that √(3) + √(5) is... Maths Bookmark Prove that 3 + 5 is irrational. Easy share Share Answer To prove : 3 + 5 is irrational. Let us assume it to be a rational number. Rational numbers are the ones that can be expressed in q p form where p,q are integers and q isn't equal to zero. 3 + 5 = q p 3 = q p − 5 squaring on both sides, 3= q 2 p 2 −2. 5 ( q p )+5 ⇒ q (2 5 p) =5−3+( q 2 p 2 ) ⇒ q (2 5 p) = q 2 2q 2 −p 2 ⇒ 5 = q 2 2q 2 −p 2 . 2p q ⇒ 5 = 2pq (2q 2 −p 2 ) As p and q are integers RHS is also rational. As RHS is rational LHS is also rational i.e 5 is rational. But this contradicts the fact that 5 is irrational. This contradiction arose because of our false assumption. so, 3 + 5 irrational.

Average of the no.s = (1 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4) / 10 = 30/10 = 3// Favourable outcomes = 3,3,3 = 3// Therefore, if E means "getting average", P(E) = Favourable outcomes / Total outcomes = 3/10 = 0.3//

n^2 - n can also be written as n (n - 1) where n is an odd number. So, naturally (n - 1) becomes an even number. Thus, since any number, along with an even number, can give an EVEN product, n^2 - n is also divisible by 2.

If you would like to continue with maths for 11th and 12th and furthermore, I would prefer you take standard maths in 10th as it will give a continuity in conceptualisation while you move from 10th to 11th. Else, you are free to take Basic maths.
