Let the numbers be x n y According to the question, X+ Y = 27 X= 27-Y.........(1) Again XY = 182 Putiing the value of equation (1) Y ( 27- Y) = 182 27Y - Y ^2= 182 - Y^2 + 27Y - 182 = 0 - ( Y^2 - 27Y + 182 ) = 0 Solving this we will get X= 13 n Y = 14

Let the number be x and y. :. x + y = 27 x = 27 - y Putting the value of x in another equation. xy = 27 (27 - y) y = 182 27y - y × y = 182 y × y - 27 y + 182 = 0 y × y - 13y - 14y + 182 = 0 y( y - 13) - 14(y - 13) = 0 (y - 14) (y - 13) = 0 :: y - 14 = 0. y - 13 = 0 y = 14. y = 13 :. The two numbers are 14 and 13.

Let us find the square root of 2 by long division method as shown below:

{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} {tex}\sqrt{2}{/tex} = 1.4142135.
Clearly, the decimal representation of{tex}\sqrt{2}{/tex} is neither terminating nor repeating. Hence, it is not a rational number.

Given :
ar {tex}\triangle \mathrm{ABC}{/tex} = ar {tex}\Delta \mathrm{PQR}{/tex}
{tex}{/tex}To prove: {tex}\triangle \mathrm{ABC} \cong \triangle \mathrm{PQR}{/tex}
Since,
ar {tex}\triangle A B C=\text { ar } \triangle P Q R{/tex} (given)
{tex}\frac{{\Delta ABC}}{{ar\Delta PQR}} = 1{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} {tex}\frac{{A{B^2}}}{{P{Q^2}}} = \frac{{B{C^2}}}{{Q{R^2}}} = \frac{{C{A^2}}}{{P{R^2}}} = 1{/tex}
[Using Theorem of area of similar Triangles]
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} AB = PQ, BC = QR & CA = PR
Thus, {tex}\triangle \mathrm{ABC} \cong \triangle \mathrm{PQR}{/tex}
