Any positive integer can be written in form a=bq+r, if we assume b = 2, then r can take values greater than or equal to 0 and less than 2. Than means a = 2q+0, a= 2q+1, but a=2q is multiple of 2 , hence it is even number, and a = 2q+1 is not multiple of 2 hence it is odd number..

Sqr(cos A+sinA)=sqr( /2 *cosA) Sqr(cosA)+2sinAcosA+sqr(sinA)=2*sqr(cosA) 2 sinA cosA = 2*sqr(cosA) -1 Now, sqr(cosA - sinA) = sqr(cosA) - 2sin A cos A + sqr(sinA) .... = 1 - ( 2 Sqr (cos A ) - 1) .... = 2 - 2 Sqr (cos A) .... = 2 ( 1- Sqr (cos A) ) .... = 2 Sqr (sin A) Taking Sqr root on both side, we can prove desired..

Any positive integer can be written in form a=bq+r, if we assume b=6 then r is greater than or equal to 0 and less than 6. Then a can be written in form a=6q+0, a=6q+1, a=6q+2, a=6q+3, a=6q+4, a=6q+5. Out of these a=6q, a=6q+2 and a=6q+4 can be written as multiple of 2, hence these forms represents even numbers.. Naturally other forms, which can not be written as multiple of 2 are representing odd numbers..
