Kisa Gotami was devastated by the death of her only son and wandered door to door, seeking help. Someone directed her to Sakyamuni, the Buddha, who asked her to bring a handful of mustard seeds. This raised a hope in Gotami’s heart that her son could be revived. But the condition imposed by Sakyamuni was that the seeds should be from a house where people had not lost a loved one to death. Kisa Gotami’s futile search made her realize the bitter truth that sorrows are a part and parcel of life and one can attain peace only by acceptance. The Buddha says that everything in this world is subject to death. He further says that the world is deeply affected by suffering, disease or pain. Inevitably there is death and decay.

Detailed Answer :

The lawyer used to work as an apprentice with a law firm. He had to serve summons on witnesses as a part of his job. He was sent to New Mullion to serve summons on Oliver Lutkins, a prime witness in a law case. When he reached the town and was making enquiries about Lutkins, he met a hack driver who was in fact Lutkins and took him to many places like Beincke’s, Gustaff ’s barber shop, Gray’s barber shop, poolroom and his mother’s farmyard. At every place they went in, (first and then when the lawyer went) people said that he had not come there or just missed him by five minutes. The hack driver told the lawyer that Lutkins owed him money also and thus he appeared a genuine and helpful person to the lawyer. Thus Lutkins, very cleverly, fooled the lawyer and he (the lawyer) was not able to complete his work that day.

So, they decided to go into hiding even if it had to be a month earlier than what had been planned. The controversy concerning 'The Frost King' was an agonizing
experience in Helen's life. Helen was charged with plagiarism. It was said that
Helen had copied the theme of her story from 'Frost Fairies', by Miss Margaret
T. Cabby. Even Mr. Anagnos, the director of Perkins Institute doubted Helen.
After the incident Helen started doubting her thoughts. She lost confidence in
