The strange man arrived at the Coach and Horses in the middle of the winter season. His invisibility required him to go bare naked. Because of intense cold and without food, he immediately cried for food and fire in the name of humanity. His sudden action avoided any questions. When Mrs. Hall quoted summer rates, he didn’t bargain for the room rent though it was a lean season for the hotel business. Thus, he didn’t need to reveal his purpose of coming to Iping or to reveal his identity. However, when contested by Mrs. Hall after eccentric behavior, he revealed to her that he was an experimental investigator and had come to Iping to pursue his experiment in peace and isolation. He further added that he would shut himself in his room and wouldn't like to be disturbed. He informed that because of the accident he was unable to bear the harshness of daylight. To protect his eyes which were weak and painful he needs to work in darkness. He reasoned that his luggage contained his apparatus and appliances and was needed urgently to carry out his experiment. He fervently appealed that his exclusivity was required to save him from his growing annoyance.

The bus conductor in 'Madam Rides the Bus' comes across as an amiable person, with good manners and a general inclination to help and spread happiness. He exhibits genuine concern for a young girl, who is travelling alone, by making sure that she is comfortably seated and also offering to buy her something to drink. He takes it in a good spirit when Valli demands respect and does not wish to be treated as a child.
Such people are not only happy and pleased with themselves but also radiate positive energy. Words like 'please' and 'thank you' should be a frequent part of our conversations, because they have a magical effect on the listeners and often stimulate a smile on their faces. Moreover, these are the basic etiquettes and should be cultivated in children right from their childhood. Exhibiting good manners is a sign of a good character and personality, and it leaves a good and positive impression on society. Thus, one can make life happy by observing good manners and inspiring others too to do the same.

After going through the story, we can easily say that Griffin was rather a lawless person. He set his landlord’s house on fire only because he did not like Griffin and wanted to eject him. After this, he entered the London store and opened a few boxes, fitted himself with clothes and enjoyed food, coffee and wine. At Iping, at the clergyman's house, he opened the desk and stole the housekeeping money. He broke all the rules to meet his needs without considering the consequences.

Peggy was not really cruel. She protected small children from bullies. She cried for hours if she saw an animal being mistreated. If anybody had told her that she treated Wanda cruelly, she would have been very surprised. She would have said that Wanda should not have lied. So, Peggy was not really cruel.

Hari Singh was 15 years old. He was an experienced and successful thief. His cleverness and intelligence were the reasons for his success. He planned everything meticulously before choosing his victims. He went to places where he would meet an unsuspecting victim. He would then vein his confidence to get a job and then run away after stealing money from there. Then, he used to change his name to befool the police and his former employers. He got a job as a cook, though he could not cook well. He was a greedy boy. He was a liar. He was cruel enough to rob a simple and trusting man like Anil. He was able to steal six hundred rupees from his house. But, at the end of the story, a transformation took place in his heart and he decided to go back to Anil and keep his trust alive. In my opinion, this shows that there is goodness concealed in even the worst of men. He overcame his evil thoughts with the help of his conscience.
