Mr. Pumphrey was a rich and emotional lady who has a cute pet . It was a small dog. She named it Tricky. She loved him so much that she usually overfed him. Tricki had put on a lot of weight which made him slow and pathetic. When doctor James Herriot saw the fat dog like a bloated sausage, he was very shocked. He made a plan and told Mrs. Pumphrey that Tricki needed treatment for a disease which was possible only in hospital. The doctor knew that Mrs. Pumphrey would not be able to keep the dog on a proper diet. When the greedy dog went to the hospital he had to remain hungry if he was slow to approach for food. He was given food at fixed intervals. Soon he shed off a lot of his body weight and became quite active. When Tricki was at home, he was pampered by Mrs. Pumphrey. He had a luxurious life when he was served with cream cake chocolate and horlicks. But when he came to the doctor he became all right. When Mrs. Pumphrey saw her active dog, she thanked the doctor and felt that it was a triumph of surgery.

Lencho asked God to send him 100 pesos so that he could survive until the next crop grows. He received the help but not from God. The post office employees collected the money and gave it to Lencho as an act of charity. Lencho was unaware of this fact.

In this chapter there is a poor farmer named lencho who live in a down hill with 2 children and women. Lencho was waiting for rain to make his crop riped and ready to sell.but due to hailstorm his crops destroyed fully.he have a deep faith in god so he wrote a letter to god and post it in a mailbox. Postmaster get his letter by his employee and decided to help him. He collected more then a half money and send it to lencho by sighing it as god.when lencho recieve money he got angry as money was not full . And he blamed postmaster and his employee as bunch of crooks . Then he rewrote the letter to god asking for the rest of the money as he need it and asked god to send him money directly..? full summary

In the chapter, it was not a person who helped but yes it was the subconscious mind of the narrator which was so very confident and dauntless that it created or pictured a person guiding him. Now you will say that it sounds a bit monotonous that if the person was surrounded by clouds than how can he himself imagine the way? The answer is very simple that our subconscious mind is so powerful that it can also do the things which we call as impossible.
