Peggy asked Maddie if they could go and check if Wanda has moved or not. Maddie was satisfied at the thought that they both had same plans of apologizing to Wanda. Both of them hurried to Boggins Heights, the place where Wanda lived in order to find her. During this season, the place was generally wet and the atmosphere was sad and hopeless.

According to the poet,
the world will end due to the 'fire', which symbolises desire. But if the world had to end twice then it will be due to the hatred symbolised by 'ice'. The poet feels that there is enough hatred in the world that is spreading among the people.

Question : Give the word from the stanza which means “free flowing act of going with motion and force”.
a) languid
b) Blissfully
c) Drifting
d) Emerald
Answer: a) languid
Stanza 2
(There is a languid, emerald sea,
where the sole inhabitant is me-
a mermaid, drifting blissfully.)
Explanation
It is to be noted that the above lines are given within brackets. Brackets are used to provide more meaning to the phrase. Here the poet uses it to present the imagination of the little girl, the free-flow of pure thoughts. Amanda uses her imagination as an escape point from day-to-day commands of her parents.

Yes, I have lost many things that were dear to me which I never wanted to lose. But among them, it was the loss of a watch that I could not bear since it was given to me by my dearest uncle who is no more now. He gave it on my 14th birthday which was really very special. When I went to visit the Lotus Temple in Delhi with my family, I lost it unknowingly being part of a large crowd. I found about the lost watch after returning home. At that time, I experienced feelings of dismay which I could not overcome for a long period of time.
