According to buddha, every mortal in this world will die one day. And wise people does not mourn for the dead ones. The humans are often selfish, they can't let go of what they loose. Like when Kisa gotami's son died, she went to everyone to revive her son. It's important to let go of the things which can not be kept longer. And mourning for the dead will only bring grief and sorrow. It is essential to move on no matter what.

the cause of matilda's ruin was her over ambitiousness and dissatisfication from her own life. she had expected too much from her life but was remain disapointed as she never got what she dreamt of. she could have avoided it by telling her friend truth that she had lost the necklace. By hiding the reality' she ruined her life..

Ipsita Seal 4 years, 9 months ago

The cause of Matilda's ruin was her greed. She was careless, selfish and was so coward thta she tried to avoid the mistake she made by lies which brought ruins. Firstly she should have understood her situation and should not crave for expensive jewellery. Secondly she should be more careful not to loose things which belongs to others. Thirdly she should have told her friend that she lost her necklace. Then she and her husband would not have to go under so much hardship to replace a replica with a real diamond necklace.

Nikita Gangwar 4 years, 9 months ago

The cause of Matilda’s ruin was her dissatisfaction with whatever life offered her. She was always unhappy. She felt that she was born for all the delicacies and luxuries of life. She disliked being in her current circumstances. She could have avoided this ruin by being content with whatever she had.
