Faith on almighty is good but first be clear before putting fingers on others.

Ankita Verma 5 years ago

The moral of the story 'A Letter To God' is that extreme faith in the almighty can give you a ray of hope even in the darkest time.
It is a story of extreme faith in God. “Faith can move mountains”. Faith and hope are symbols of life. Faith brings out one's strength, hope, courage and respect.
Moral: we should have faith in God but we should also trust in humanity. Unlike Lencho we should trust other humans also.

Initially, the postmaster broke out into laughter, but almost immediately he turned serious of lencho's faith in God. So in order not to shake the writer's faith in God, he came up with an idea to answer the letter. But when he opened it, it was evident that to answer it he needed something more than goodwill, ink and paper and that is 'hundred pesos'. And then he asked for the money from his employees, friends and he gave a part of his salary and sent it to lencho.

An ox of a man means a very strong man. Lencho was a hard working farmer. He worked hard in the field. His faith in God, made him to write letter to God. This shows how strong & hard working Lencho was, as he was worried about his harvest, which was destroyed by hailstorm. He thought that, writing a letter to God may help him to buy seeds for his next crop, as he didn't have any more seeds for his next crop. So the author compared him to an ox.

Valli was a timid little girl who was on her first bus ride. When she saw the dead cow lying on the crowd, she was horrified by the scene. She was too young to digest the loss of a being in such a brutal manner. This shocked and deeply saddened her leading to a loss of her excitement and joy that she initially had. She spent the rest of her journey quietly and was no more interested in the sceneries out of the window.
Valli enjoyed watching a young cow with tail high running in middle of the road on her way to town but when the bus was returning back to the village she found that the cow was lying dead by the roadside and there was blood was spread all over. The cow might had been struck with some fast moving vehicle. This haunted her and from then on she refused to look out of the window on her way back to the village.
