The ausable had outwit Max by making two false stories. Firstly, about the balcony. The ausable stated that there was a balcony outside the window. Secondly, about the arriving of police for the extra protection of the documents. Max had believed the ausable's words and finally jumped out the window, expecting there to be a balcony, at the knock at the door. He finally died and a shrill noise of his voice could be heard.

The format of a letter to the editor of a Newspaper is as follows –

1. Sender’s address: The address and contact details of the sender are written here. Include an email and phone number, if required or if mentioned in the question.

2. Date: The date is written below the sender’s address after Leaving one space or line.

3. Receiving Editor’s address: The address of the recipient of the mail i.e. the editor is written here.

4. Subject of the letter: The main purpose of the letterforms the subject. It must be written in one line. It must convey the matter for which the letter is written.

5. Salutation (Sir / Respected sir / Madam)

6. Body: The matter of the letter is written here. It is divided into 3 paragraphs as follows -

Paragraph 1: Introduce yourself and the purpose of writing the letter in brief.

Paragraph 2: Give detail of the matter.

Paragraph 3: Conclude by mentioning what you expect from the editor. (For example, you may want him to highlight the issue in his newspaper/magazine).

Chandigarh is known as the 'City Beautiful' and we are rightly proud of being privileged citizens of this modern city. Of late, however, some disturbing trends have been noticed. The volume of vehicular traffic has spurted manifold. Many factories have sprung up in the vicinity of the city. The smoke emitted by the chimneys of these factories or spewed out by the fast plying vehicles has made the lives of citizens miserable. Pollution has increased to intolerable limits. The heaps of garbage and unclean roads compound the problem. Some voluntary organisations have organised cleanliness campaigns in Sector 7 and 14 and are creating social awareness by educating the masses against the dangers of pollution. Kindly publish this letter with your editorial comments to make the citizens aware of these drawbacks. I do hope that the people of Chandigarh will cooperate to keep their city clean.
