The two small boys could do so many things at such a tender age. There are many difficult jobs which day do only for the treatment of the ailing sister Lucia. They sell wild strawberries and they can also name a good restaurant and by American cigarettes and Opera tickets for the visitors. Visitors could be relied upon them to satisfy their needs. They wait for the arrival of last verse in the deserted square at windy and cold night where they cancel their unsold newspaper. This type of things shows that they were dedicated to their hard work and they were self sufficient.

The irony in the poem is brought about by the message that the poem gives to the readers. The memorial or the huge statue was erected to oveawe and domazzle the prosperity. it displays the power, glory and grandeur of king Ozymandias but what is the result? the statue that was to perpetuate Ozymandias memory lies broken into pieces on the sand in a desert. Nothing has remained expect the boundless and bare sand stretching all around.
