Both "Ozymandias" and "Not marble, nor gilded monuments" propagate the idea that no man-made structure will endure the test of time. Ozymandias made a splendid city by tyrannizing his subjects and thought that it will stay there for ever for the world to see and despair. He thought that he would be admired by the world for ever. But when the traveler came upon his statue, it was broken and half buried in the desert sand. All that remained was the pedestal of the statue with his two legs and the arrogant inscription on it and a broken face. Everything else was destroyed in the course of time.
The other sonnet "Not marble, nor gilded monuments" conveys the idea that all the works of man are mortal and subjected to decay as time goes by. They lose their glitter and are destroyed. He compares the life of such monuments with that of literature. While man-made marble structures and monuments suffer devastation, the literature remains untarnished in the mind of generations till the dooms day.

The poet at first admired the snake, but when his education overpowered his instinct, he concluded that a snake is a dangerous creature which has to be killed in order to prevent a potential attack in the future. He therefore threw a log at the snake.

Helen Keller: Helen Keller, the writer of The Story of my Life, is also the central character and the narrator of her autobiography, which describes the story of her life up to age 21.
Helen Keller was not born disabled. However, a serious illness in her infancy damaged her sense of hearing as well as sight. She suffered a great deal of misery and frustration in trying to communicate with others till the age of six. Helen’s life completely changed when Anne Sullivan was appointed as her teacher. With the help of a wonderful teacher and her own determination, Helen Keller not only learnt to read and write, but also acquired the skill of communicating with the outside world by her brilliant use of words and ideas.
Helen Keller graduated from Radcliffe at the age of twenty-four, becoming the first deaf blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. She also travelled many countries with Miss Sullivan and was a strong advocate for people with disabilities. She learned to speak about her love of wanting to communicate with others, and is remembered as a world-famous speaker and author even today.
Helen Keller is an inspiration for millions who are struggling to overcome extreme hardships in life and want to evolve their miseries into an inspiration.

Patol Babu’s life was quite smooth, financially particularly until he was sacked in 1943. Since then Patol Babu had to struggle to make living. At first he opened a variety store which he had to wind up after five years. Then he had a job in a Bengali firm which he gave up in disgust when his boss began to treat him in too high-handed a fashion. Then, for ten long years, starting as an insurance salesman, Patol Babu tried every means of earning a livelihood without ever succeeding in improving his lot. Of late he had been paying regular visits to a small establishment dealing in scrap iron where a cousin of his had promised him a job.
