First Estate: Clergy belonged to 1st estate of then French Society. Clergy were the group of persons who were invested with special functions in the church,e.g. fathers, and other members of church.
Second Estate: Nobility belonged to 2nd estate of then French Society. Nobility was hereditary and hence a person could get nobility by birth. However, new members were also awarded nobility by monarchy after paying heavy taxes or outstanding service to the monarchy, i.e. nobility could be purchased also.
Third Estate: The 3rd estate of then French society was further divided into three categories. Big businessmen, merchants, court officials, lawyers, etc. belonged to the first category of 3rd estate. Peasants and artisans belonged to the second category. And small peasants, landless labours and servants belonged to third category, and were considered as the lowest class in the society. Members of the third state had to pay all types of taxes including tithes and taille.

- The Constitution is comprehensive and in fact too comprehensive. Some provisions seem too redundant to be considered a part of the Constitution.
- There is a strong bias towards centre in our federal structure. Recent case of Uttarakhand's govt being toppled to set in President's rule is a glaring example.
- Privileges of the Parliament and State Legislatures are left upon then to decide which has not been codified till date. Though one doesn't expect such a provision to be enumerated in the Constitution, but Indian scenario might entail one such provision.
- The Constitution is too bulky and too complex for a layman to understand. In fact it is considered a paradise of lawyers. This happened because our Constituent Assembly comprised of a very high number of eminent lawyers.
- There is a high degree of protection to civil servants accorded under Art 311. This provision is more misused and abused than being used.

In January 1945, facing a siege of Berlin by the Soviets, Hitler withdrew to his bunker to live out his final days. Located 55 feet under the chancellery, the shelter contained 18 rooms and was fully self-sufficient, with its own water and electrical supply. Though he was growing increasingly mad, Hitler continued to give orders and meet with such close subordinates as Hermann Goering, Heinrich Himmler and Josef Goebbels. He also married his long-time mistress Eva Braun just two days before his suicide.

Born in1769 in the Island of Corsica, Napoleon Bonaparte studied in a military school in Paris. In 1799 he led a coup known as 18 Brumaire and became the First Council. Subsequently, by 1804 he was made Emperor of France. He codified the French law under the name the Napoleonic Code of Law, which gave rights to protect private property and initiated the uniform system of weights and measures. He centralised the government and reinstated Roman Catholicism as the state religion. He was defeated by Nelson, the commander of the British army, in the Battle of the Nile and at the Battle of Trafalgar. The Battle of Waterloo in 1815 was Napoleon’s final defeat by the Duke of Wellington. He was imprisoned in the island of St. Helena where he eventually died in 1821. The ideals of liberty, equality and fraternity formed the touchstone of the French Revolution.
