In some organisms like bacteria, the nuclear region of the cell may be poorly defined due to the absence of a nuclear membrane. Such an undefined nuclear region containing only nucleic acids is called a nucleoid. Such organisms, whose cells lack a nuclear membrane, are called prokaryotes. Organisms with cells having a nuclear membrane are called eukaryotes. Prokaryotic cells also lack most of the other cytoplasmic organelles present in eukaryotic cells.

Frequency = 2Hz Wavelength = 40cm= 40/100= 0.4m Thus velocity of sound wave = frequency × wavelength = 2×0.4 = 0.8m/s. Since speed = distance/ time 0.8 = 1.6 ×1000 / t 0.8 = 1600/ t Therefore t= 1600/0.8= 2000 seconds.

Gaurav Seth 7 years, 2 months ago

GIVEN:
frequency( n) =2kHz= 2 x 1000 Hz= 200Hz
[ 1kHz = 1000 Hz]
Wavelength(λ) = 40cm=40/100=0.4m
[ 1cm = 1/100 m]
Distance= 1.6km= 1.6x1000m = 1600 m
[1km = 1000 m]
Speed of sound(V)= frequency× wavelength
V =2000×0.4
V=800m/s
Speed=Distance/ time
Time= distance/ speed
Time = 1600/ 800
Time =2sec.
Hence, the time required to travel 1.6km is 2sec.
