AIDS or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome is a syndrome caused by the HIV virus. In this condition, a person’s immune system becomes too weak to fight off any kind of infection or disease. AIDS is usually the last stage of HIV infection; a stage where the body can no longer defend itself and thus spawns various diseases. AIDS, when untreated, leads to death.

Number of protons present in nucleus is called as atomic number Number of protons and neutrons present in nucleus is called as mass number.

Yogita Ingle 7 years, 1 month ago

Atomic number: Atomic number (z) is the number of protons in an atom; it is also equal to the number of electrons in the atom.
Atomic number = Number of protons
Example: The atomic number of an element is 12 then its atom contains 12 protons and 12 electrons.
Mass Number: The mass number (A) is defined as the sum of the number of protons and neutrons present in the nucleus of an atom. Example: Mass number of Nitrogen atom is 14 then it contains 7 protons and 7 neutrons.
Mass number = Protons + Neutrons

Mass*

Akanksha Maurya 7 years, 1 month ago

law of constant proportion says that In a chemical substance the element are always present in definite proportions by mass. This law means that whatever be the source from which it is obtained (or the method from which it is prepared) ,a pire chemical compound is always made up of the same elements in the same mass percentage. Example– Water is a compound which always consist of the same two elements, hydrogel and oxygen , combined together in the same constant proportion of 1:8 by mads

The law of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor be destroyed. It may be transferred from one of its forms to the other. If you take all forms of energy into account, the total energy of an isolated system always remains constant.
Example
In a loudspeaker, electrical energy is converted into sound energy.
In a microphone, sound energy is converted into electrical energy.

Physical Change

Chemical Change

In a physical change, the molecules are rearranged while their actual composition remains same.

In a chemical change, the molecular composition of a substance completely changes and a new substance is formed.

Some example of physical change are freezing of water, melting of wax, boiling of water, etc.

A few examples of chemical change are digestion of food, burning of coal, rusting, etc.

Physical change is easily reversible i.e original substance can be recovered.

Chemical change is irreversible i.e. original substance cannot be recovered.

In physical change, no new substance is formed.

A chemical change is always accompanied by one or more new substance(s).

Physical change is a temporary change.

Chemical change is a permanent change.

Akanksha Maurya 7 years, 1 month ago

Physical changes are those changes which is reversible and no new substance is formed while chemical changes are those changes which are irreversible and a new substance is formed.

The scattering of a beam of light by the particles of a colloid is called the Tyndall effect. When we apply torch light on a galss of milk then the path of the light becomes visible but it is not so in case of water because in milk light is scattered by its very fine particles.
Tyndall effect can be observed when sunlight passes through the canopy of a dense forest. In the forest, mist contains tiny droplets of water, which act as particles of colloid dispersed in air.

Saturated solution. A solution in which no more of the solid (solute) can be dissolved at a given temperature and pressure is called a saturated solution.
Unsaturated solution. A solution in which more of the solid can be dissolved at the given temperature and pressure is called an unsaturated solution.

Akanksha Maurya 7 years, 1 month ago

A solution in which more quantity of solute can be dissolved without raising its temperature,is called unsaturated solution while a solution in which no more solute can be dissolved at that temperature ,is called saturated solution. Example -saturated solution of sodium chloride, unsaturated solution of salt solution

Humidity : the amount of water vapours present in air is represented by humidity. The rate of evaporation is inversely proportional to the rate of humidity . When the humidity is high the rate of evaporation is low that is why we sweat more on humid days.

Yogita Ingle 7 years, 1 month ago

It's not that you sweat more, but it's because in high humidity the air is already full of water, so therefore the sweat does not evaporate off your skin as quickly. The absence of the "cooling" effect of evaporating sweat makes our bodies feel hotter in humid climates, thus we continue to sweat.

Since we know that the angle 130 degree is between the incident sound wave and the reflected sound waves and the total angle is 180 degree when we subtract 180 - 130 we get 50 which is the sum of the angle of incidence and angle of reflection since we know that both are equal then we can say 2x its equal to 50 and X will be 25 Hope it helped you
