Characteristics of Meristematic Tissues:

  1. Their cells are similar in structure and have thin cellulose cell walls.
  2. The cells are active and have dense cytoplasm and prominent nucleus because they are actively dividing cells.
  3. They contain few vacuoles or no vacuoles at all.
  4. The meristematic cells are compactly arranged and do not contain any intercellular space between them.

Soil is formed through the process of weathering. Weathering is a process of physical breakdown and chemical decomposition of rocks and minerals near or at the surface of the earth. This physical and chemical decomposition is primarily done by wind, water, and climate. As a result of these processes, large rock pieces are converted into smaller pieces and eventually to soil.

Filtarisation

Yogita Ingle 7 years, 1 month ago

First heat it in a closed beaker and collect the vapours through a delivery tube in a jar. Ammonium chloride sublimes and then the vapours condense to give solid ammonium chloride in the jar. Thus one of the constituents is separated.
Now, add water in the beaker. The salt will dissolve. Pass the solution through a filter paper into another beaker. The salt solution passes in and the sand is collected on the filter paper.
Now heat the salt solution. The water will evaporate leaving behind the salt as residue.
Thus all the constituents of the mixture are separated.

Molar mass: The molar mass is the mass of one mole (or 6.023 X 1023) particles of that substance. The molar mass of an element is equal to the numerical value of the atomic mass. However, in case of molar mass, the units change from ‘u’ to ‘g’. The molar mass of an atom is also known as gram atomic mass.
For example mass of 6.023 X 1023 atoms of sodium or molar mass of sodium is 23g, but its atomic mass is 23u

Nikhil Chavan 7 years, 1 month ago

The molar mass, also known as molecular weight, is the sum of the total mass in grams of all the atoms that make up a mole of a particular molecule. The unit used to measure is grams per mole.

When the train passes over a railway track, the whole weight of the train acts on the railway line beneath it. Due to large sized concrete sleepers, the force of this weight spreads out over a large area, thereby reducing the pressure on the ground. As a result, the railway track can bear it.

The waves which rew Require a meterial medium for their propagation are called the mechnical waves. It can not travel through vacumes. Speed of mechnical wave are low and dependsupon the median through which they travel. Mechnical wave are due to the vibration of the particals of the median. It may be longitudinal and transverse wave. Eg- sound wave, string wave etc..

Yogita Ingle 7 years, 1 month ago

The waves which require a material medium for their propagation are called mechanical waves. The propagation of mechanical waves depend upon the elastic propertie so the medium. Hence, they are also called elastic waves.
Examples of mechanical waves :
(i) Sound waves in air.
(ii) Waves over water surface.

Isotopes: The atoms which posses same atomic number (the atoms same element) but different mass number are called Isotopes.
Ex: ₁H¹,₁H², ₁H³
These are the isotopes of Hydrogen.
The difference in mass number is due to different number of neutrons present in the nucleus.
Isobars: The atoms which posses different atomic number with same mass number are called Isobars.
Ex : ₁₈Ar⁴⁰,₂₀Ca⁴⁰

Narendra Mishra 7 years, 1 month ago

Isotope means same atomic number but different mass number
